Training for all "newbies"

I had this idea really long ago, but didn't think that it would be important. But I see every day more and more newbies/noobs walking there doing shit >.<
My suggestion:
Make somehow a training. Could be done be some question which have to be answered correctly. So the "new guys" would be really HAVE to look at the manual.
Or (would be a freaking big organisation problem). Make on some days a "training day" some mature guys would teach the "new guys". This would be a perfect way to hold back all the guys who just wants to fuck around.
Now to the main thing, which would have to be done:
There is a way to make some reserved slots on a server. We could use this for restricting players. Just make ALL slots of the server reserved and make a list of all mature players, who have passed the questions/traning day. Well the problem would be, that this list have to be updated everyday.
The server admin could still choose, if they want such a server or if they really want to make it public for everyone.
pos things:
- 100% no chance for problem players >.<
- newbies will have to learn the basics to play
- better overall gameplay
- more fun
- no excuses like "omg my team s**ks, thats why we lost"

- no/less people wating 20min for assets
- more fun for the commander/squadleader, because most players will now listen ;D
problems:
- organisation (but possible)
- need to be promoted, so everyone know about it
Well that are just my thoughts about it. Feel free to discuss =)

I/We could also do a video tour of all the new functions. I remember the one I watched first about PR was the one with the crewman kits and the request function. I remembered that when I started. I didnt remember much from the manual.

Yeahs thats great mapper. You get right to setting up the server that would be needed to run this since it would have to be accesible from every point on the globe, then you can write the program to determine who is the "mature guys" allowed to train, and who has been "trained". Make sure to employ some really good security measures so that people don't try to manipulate the system. Also don't worry about the most certain consequence of killing any interest from new players who have to be "trained" by some "mature guy". I'm also sure that the "mature guys" also wouldn't mind having to train the thousands of players out there that play this mod. We also have to make sure that we get "mature guys" that play the way you like to play....since your way of play is apparently the only correct way. Sorry to be a bit aggressive here, but I get a bit steamed up when people presume that they know whats best for everyone and how they should play/act and also that systems like this just happen.

Feel free to join the iGi community training server,
the password is "training" (server license says we have to password servers with modified content.) You need these files to play on it or you will CTD, but they are easy to download
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f66-co ... -mode.html
We don't train people on this, but its great to practice. (although I recommend practising landing on a local server using the above files)
Just follow the server rules (no main attack, no teamkilling) and you'll have a laugh and probably learn a thing or two. Players are generally friendly, so you can just say "Please don't attack the blackhawk at south village" and people will generally comply.

i didn't really feel like he knew exactly whats best for everyone, but i think he's kind of tired of Vanilla people coming over here just to mess with the people who want to play the game in a somewhatmoreseriousthanvanilla manner. I mean, we have a goof off time (like when we played chicken with the A10 and the littlebirds and the cobra.... fun times...)
but the thing is we were doing that on a training server... so i think that servers meant for goofing off should be just that, and servers meant for "serious" play should be for just that. He wants to make sure people know how to do things... I still don't know how to do half of what people do... and i'm not really sure if i target things right or how to shoot an AT. I think that a server made with voluntary help would be great, if it were promoted well... i mean
you could have them be any day of the week, and if we got enough volunteers, they could teach people what was on for that day.
Like... drivers ed classes run you know?
His server idea could work too, just using the basic BF2 "registered" list i'm sure... then you could have what TG gamer has for any "premium registered" members they have to join...
..if that confuses you.... > > i'll explain in more laymens terms later, i gotta go do photos

@ostupidman: You dont have to say sorry. Thats why I posted it here. I want to here your opinion. And if you simply dislike it, well ;D
But lemme try to explain so things:
setting up a right server, thats whats the "training day" for. So all server which would run this type of reservation would have, lets say 5hours in the week running "training day" So everyone could join a server in his country to get optimal connection

program to determine who is a "mature guy"? well everyone who pass the test ;D
Well killing interrests of new guys... If you want you can play on every other server, which is not running this, also you if you dont want to

all thousands of players? xD still talking just about the guys, who want to

play the way I like? naaah, just know the basics and not to be a total ******* ;D
hm my argumanttion suck in english. Don't think that I changed you opinion... Well maybe aswered some question others also have ;D

How about a weekly, clan-managed Training Day, which would be 'advertised' as part of the Project Reality install? I can see something like this as part of the install progress screen, when loading the Core install:
"Having trouble with infantry combat? Flying? Armored combat? Sharpen your gameplay skills with a team of Project Reality veterans in the PR Training Day server! Sessions are held every (day) at (time). Apply for server membership at the PR forum."

Done this already its that the noobs dont bother and the vets dont bother -_-
Easy as that.
ITs a game not dead serious if he is a smacktard give him a warning then kick, if he still acts like a total noob bahn hammer.
By noob I mean taking choppers when you dont even know the warm up time or go with an armoured vehicle without crewman kit and so on.

1. Prone spamming
2. Bunny hopping under fire
3. Learn to HAT snipe... remember the HAT is more accurate when the bars are further apart
4. Always 1 man tanks. Gunners can never cooperate.

There will be a training mode in v0.8 that will hopefully accommodate new and old players alike. The training mode will be multiplayer accessible.

Can we have any details on the new training mode?
Is it a port of Bubba's training mode for 0.7 to 0.8 with basically the same properties for new maps? (fast vehicle spawns etc)
Or are they custom maps like target ranges or other realistic backdrops?

There were plans of a "PR Instructor" team a while back, but I think the R-D00dz dropped it because there weren't enough people willing to be instructors or something.
Basically, you could sign up for either instructor or to learn to play PR. (wuts da shovul for?).
I think it was supposed to be once a week on a passworded server. The insturctors had admin to the server and could kick any troublemakers.

dont know were the problem is.
There is a manual,
there are more then one training mode.
There are many ppl out there that know how the game works and are help the new guys if they join the sq and ask how it works.
You cant get all new ppl on the hand and show them the complete game. Play it and you learn how it works well.
There are much new guys who WANT to know how it works. And the other guys run stupid arround, get shot again and again, and even dont know why, and then leave this mod.
I have no problems with the new ones if the are willing to learn.
And the others: Get killed a couple of times and then go back to vanilla...
