Well, I really am tired of the Vinila tank. So I was wondering will we eventuilly get a new model? NOT for .8 unless you have one made . And if not then put it in a upcomming release because I want .8 soon(freaking school is starting:cry . I just really think this game needs a new model even thoungh, .8 is goning to be so amazing that i wont even look at the tank.

why woul school matter anyway? dont people in the states play games in the evening?

Afaik there is a new skin, i'm happy with that for now.

The challenger 2 is fracking beautiful ingame, and it would be lovely to see the same love to teh m1a2, but given the amount of work that would entail given the rewards of the same vehicle with perhaps the added m240 position (alla USI) I can live without it for now.

I dont think the DEV's should do it, if a community member makes an awesome modles then put it in but othere sie its a bit of a waste of the DEV's time to make a new one when they a perfectly good one already

If they do make a new M1A2, they should make a new HUD for the driver as well. Make it actually like the driver where the player is laying down while trying to look through the hatch.

It was like that, back in .5 atleast. Now, its the tank commander's view "telling the driver" where to turn and stuff.

i think they shouldve kept it like .5, but give the top gunner binocs or something so in effect he'd be the tank commander.

it needs 2 mg's on top....but idk if other tanks also have 2 mg's on top

Yeah I'd love to see it remodelled from the abomination it is right now. TBH, so many other things have been remodelled from vanilla I dont see why it wouldnt be (L85, Challenger, M16, M4, etc. etc.)

USI has a tank possibly see something like that in .9
And all vehicles in PR need to be much larger

yea cant you nicely ask that other mod for their Abrams?could give them something else in return lol.

USI and PR has a good relationship and shared items. I think they got the command truck, A10, F16 from USI. USI has littlebird, EJOD desert and more in return.

I dont think the one in USI is the most up to date version of the tank (USI is the 1st gulf war after all)

neither is their hummer but we're using that until the up armoured hummer is done? and pretty much anything is better than EA's model (with appropriate reskin..)

I don't think there's that much(if any at all) physical difference between the M1A1 Abrams(From USI) and the M1A2. They look the same, but the M1A2 has better navigation and equipment on the inside, but the outsides stayed the same.

Wrong, the A2 has a CITV (The periscope thing you look through in the driver's seat), while the A1 does not. Also the USMC and US Army arrange their smoke grenade launchers differently on the tanks.

The US Army's M1A2. You can see the addition of the CITV, as well as the different orientation of the Smoke Grenade Launchers. Yes, this is the SEP varient, but all changes are internal


And if you really wanted to get modern, there's the TUSK package for the M1A2. Again that would be US Army stuff. Marines make do with the A1.
