Planes with 2 seats

Im not an expert at military subjects but i know that a jet has two seats for a pilot and a co pilot. Would be great to have this added in game so the co pilot could at least spot some enemies that are not in the pilots field of view wich i think would help a lot of pilots during dogfights. In real life I believe that a co pilot can do much more than just spot enemies but i think that for a game its enough. Maybe this could also decrease the number of players waiting for the next jet.

The copilot is more of a navigator or gunner or both depending on the type of aircraft thou.

Not all jets are two seaters.

Lol, just have him for spotting. Fyi they did have two seaters in PR a few versions back (I think?) and he would target laser guided missiles. Another Fyi, "a jet" doesn't have two seats for pilot and co-pilot, only some jets are two seaters.

ye, most jets these days are single seater, in the fighter department. Would be VERY unrealistic to put 2 seats in a jet that only has one
I think Comptons has been watching too much top gun personally where all the co pilot seems to do is spot the other jets

I think he's talking about bombers, not fighters. Seeing as he's talking about two-seaters, and only ever says "jets".

Yeah good idea, but a co-pilot sounds kind of assistent of the pilot in civil plane traffic. I would rename co-pilot in too weaponsystem officer and give him more abilities then just "spot other jets". Weaponsystem officer is busy with ground attacks like bombing or shooting the lazed targets with missles. So the pilot can concentrate on flying the jet and have access to the AA missles. 2 seats jets=more teamplay, more fun and less stress for the bomber pilot who have too think about everything(tanks,apc,trucks,choppers,fighters,AA´s,m8s who spaming "Lasing Target..")

Although we haven't seen twin seater aircraft in action just yet, it's clear that they'll have a use along the lines you've explained.
The Pilot will most likely have access to Air to Air missles and the 500lb LGB bombs.
The Co-Pilot will most likely have access to firing the Brimstone Air to Ground missles for the anti-vehicular role. Along with the ability to spot targets and look around the cockpit or rear of the aircraft with ease.
Just be careful though, supposedly the Mobile Anti Aircraft vehicles have been spruced up abit in missle detection radius (1200m - 2000m?). This was to force attack helicopters down to a lower altitude and use ground cover to thier advantage rather than flying around at high levels.
But as you can see if that's the case, then we'll be having a difficult time holding the aircraft steady as we fly overhead so the gunner can maintain focus on the target. Not to mention that the Fighter/Bomber class jets will have more power but less manuverability.
Who knows for sure though? We'll have to wait and see.
