A very, very quick suggestion

Rather than have two rifleman kits on the spawn screen, why not just have one, but with the option to switch your weapon, similar to an unlock in vBF2? Apart from the rifle, they both have the exact same loadout.

Why not use the search function?

the only way to get that to work would be to run off the vBF2 rank system, so for users to be allowed to switch to that secondary weapon would have needed to unlocked that weapon hash (for the lack of a better word) to be able to switch between unscoped and scoped.
So if you have say not unlocked the G3 for the assault kit in vBF2, you would not be able to switch between the 2 kits. And many ppl like myself play PR with accounts that have hardly touched vbf2, I have a account with all the unlocks but that's my old vbf2 clan account which I no longer use and dont want to use it to get the scoped rifle, nor do I want to spend a bunch of hrs trying to unlock a G3 so i can use the scoped rifle on PR...
We dont even use the max of 7 kits so there is no reason to do this...
and the only reason why I even bothered to reply to this resuggested item is cos I'm downloading and there is nothing else for me to do at the moment till I have this new build...

They actually pulled it off in NaW without needing ranks, maybe someone could look into it.
Just a suggestion.

probaly if you did a huge amount of editing to the HUD it might be possible, but why bother when we have a perfectly good working system currently?

Go play bf2

These types of suggestions are pure ignorance. If I wanted to play vBF2, why would I be here suggesting things that I believe would make a mod I greatly enjoy be even better?
Although, you strike a good point Rhino. It'd be more one of those 'finishing touch' kinda things for when(read: if) 1.0 comes around.

If you knew what ignorance means you would not using this word.
If i ignore you i would not reply to you.
If you like the bf2 class choosing system then go play bf2!
This mod have his own system, which i like most.
So there is no point of changing that class system, maby the class equipment but its a different story.

Lol, epic irony. Ignorance does not mean ignoring someone. It means 'to be lacking in knowledge or education.'
Which would seem to apply to you and the meaning of the word ignorance.
The class choosing system has nothing to do with BF2 gameplay, so saying go play BF2 doesn't really make any sense assuming the guy likes PR's style of play. I do howevever agree that it seems alot of work for a change that doesn't need doing unless we have more that 7 kits. Atm I'd rather click the big alternative kit than fiddle about with the little switch load-out button. (Yes, i'm lazy

)

Dark is looking to streamline the class system IED, where clicking the switch kit changes between Scoped and Ironsights Rifleman, not clicking switch kit changes your M-16 to a G-36. Read the entire starting post, think about it, and if you can't find something constructive to say, don't post.
On Topic: Can someone give me the link to the NaW mod? If the Dev team doesn't mind, I'd like to contact them about their workaround, to see if it could be incorperated into PR.

I like the suggestion, but work effort vs reward is low

Yup, but it takes up all the spaces where the other kits would be.

Check your PM inbox Tirak. I won't publically post links to other mods here, I got enough respect for the devs and their work.
Also, AnRK, it's actually possible to make 'customizable' kits via that very same 'weapon swap' function I suggested...and I again pull NAW as my example. Each kit in NAW has like 2-4 variations, and each variation has a different weapon, a different secondary weapon, and more often than not a different accessory too.
