I forget what seat it is but one of them when you hit "e" to get out exits you to inside the chopper. This usually always gets you killed or hurt because you find yourself walking around inside the chopper but it wont let you walk out. Then it takes off again while you're still standing up inside and when it hits some altitude you fall through the floor to your death!!!
I find it hard to belive this was an intended function but if it was whats the purpose??

If you look around there are two or three doors even if the ramp is up, run out ASAP and you'll be good, or worse case scenario, just reenter the chopper.

Seats F6 and F7 spawn you inside the merlin when exiting. This is to help you deploy fastropes if the chopper isn't at ground level.

Hit any other 'F' key besides F6,7&1 and you should be able to find a different seat to exit from, spawning you outside.

Its there so you can fastrope down.

Press Alt+F4 to deploy the fastropes.
