While playing PR, sometimes I can't type anything in the squad chat, team chat or all chat. Some characters will be shown as a ? only. It can happen during a round. I mean I am able to type in one minute, and the next, I can't type.
Please Advise.

Where are you from? Could it be that you have a different language with many different letters on your operating system? It happens to me sometimes that when pressing alt+shift (for example turning on/off the 3D Map Symbols while running) my system changes from german to english settings, means some keys are not where they are supposed to be when i type something, because on a german keyboard, the Z is where the Y is on an english one and the other way around, plus some differences. Maybe you also changed the language setting to something that isnt supported in BF2?

I am living in France. But, my XP is English and no other language is installed. Also, when it happens I can't type anything. Whatever I type, it becomes a "?". So, whatever I type becomes a series of "?".

Hm, that's weird.

I suggest you run an AV scan as problems with weird symbols can be caused by keyloggers.


Do you have problems anywhere else?

What kind of keyboard do you have? It could be problems decoding the keyboard.

I run a scan every week. I have a normal HP keyboard. Model No: KB-0136. It is as plain as it can be. no media or shortcut keys or anything fancy.
