Mine Hiding

I didn't see this in the already suggested list. How feasible/effective would it be for an engineer to have an extra item in his kit that could be used to hide/conceal a mine. No different than dropping an ammo bag, repair patch or the mine itself, but depending on the map, it is a lump of dirt or tuft of grass or tumble weed. You could lay the mine and then lay the concealment on top of it.

I don't know how you could keep people from laying concealment without mines, so one could effectively lay concealment in the road (where there are no mines) and put the actual mines in the grass to the side. Given the few mines in inventory, this may be less of a problem.

The point is that the mine is obvious to spot in some cases, so a little concealment could go along way. Not to mention the additional TKs you would reap!

Yuo could remodel/texture the mine so that the concealment is always on it but that may take a while

FH2 already allows its engineers to automatically hide mines, then place flags to mark their location.

With PR's emphasis on teamwork, I'd like to see a system where mines 'stick' above the ground (no rolling on hills), and the Engineer must use his shovel to hide the mines below ground like their FH2 counterparts.

If we get that, than we also should get ways of finding them. The mines can now be placed to block roads or delay the enemy. they only kill enemys that dont look out. Think thats fine. I dont think people bury mines in the short battles you play as a player. You only drop a few mines to block an area.

Saw this in a movie once as well where people where being kidnapped by some guerilla's. When they aproached the base they had these mines laying there. The other badguys just kicked them out of the way and put them back when the jeep crossed. Just like a gate.

you know IRL if mine's arn't burried you shouldnt have any problems driving over them...just dont run it over with the wheels
