Good morning everybody, just to say you the patch 1.5 for Battlefield 2 never comes, you can give us the 0.8, for sure

I'm sure the DEVs are not waiting with 0.8 for EA.


They don't wanna wait another lifetime

The 0.8 will come once all the vehicles and maps are finished. There still fixing allot of bugs.

Wouldn't want to rush it and have the new maps not playable like op archer

EA has finally capitulated and is now waiting for the glorious PR 0.8 to come out before they release 1.5.

It would suck if they released 1.5 just some days after 0.8 gets out.

and no we are not waiting fro v1.5 to release 0.8, 0.8 will be released when its ready.

well if 0.8 comes out before the patch, its quite simple to me, dont install 1.5, dont care about playing vanilla, just aslong as PR works!

It's safe to say that if you're playing Project Reality then you probably don't touch vanilla Battlefield 2 much, so you won't be obligated to install the patch in a hurry. PR has tons of talented guys who know the engine inside and out (least what’s available to them) and even with a release of a new patch they’ll sprint into action into making PR as compatible as they can with any changes the patch would bring.

Well lets say that they relase a patch right after 0.8 is out, will you guys make a hotfix or something like that just to get it working with the new patch?

When will it be ready ?

we will first advise all our players not to install the patch, if they do to backup there current version of BF2/PR before installing the new patch so they can revert if need be.

Then we will get all our devs / testers onto first working out what bugs, if any have been caused by the patch, then we will fix them up asap, then soon after release a fixer, with any luck only a server side patch but will probably need a client side. Once that is released everyone will be free to upgrade to the new version

its easy, instead pr-devs waiting for the ea-devs for their 1.5 patch, the pr-devs offer their .8 build as a patch to the ea devs for their current vbf2 1.4 version and all is fine.

No, EA wait for the 0.8 comes to patch the mod battlefield vanilla, you know? the mod of the project réality game

So i'm just waited for when it will be ready (the game, not the mod, or the mod, not the game, i don't know )

If 1.5 patch comes out a few days after 0.8 release and the 0.8 release is still based on 1.41 version, then that means all the BF2 noobs will stay in BF2 with their 1.5 patch, yay

I just don't care about the patch. When it's released, i'll see the changelog, that's all. I (and we at the community) don't know anyone who is still playing vbf2.

If they release a true widescreen fix, i could start exciting about the PR guys fixing the mod for the patch, anything else... i don't care that much

Uhuh, I reckon maybe a very maximum of 100 people in the community (if that) actualy care enough about vanilla to install the patch even if it meant not playing PR.

I'm surprised at those stats for PoE.
