hi guys
dunno if this is teh right place for that, but anyways:

r the caches in place right from the beginning or do the british ppl need to get intel to make them spawn ???

noticing that this is teh suggestions thread ...:
1. remove the countdown timer for the forum rules button, its annoying
2. pls decrease the cache-radius, i spent 1hr searching island and after that 2 caches popped up, which we didnt find tho... (-> initial question on top)

sry if this is the wrong place or it has been asked before (i used the search thingy, no success :shock :)

there are only 3 caches active on the map at any one time. For the Attacking team to get markers on the map to around abouts thous caches are you need to get intel, thou you may be lucky to stumble across one, but even so, they are hard to stumble on since there are soo few around at one time.

thats actually .. bad
its already difficult to blow the cache with the enemy knowing where the brits will move, would it be possible to spawn all of the caches right away ??? so the british ppl could actually go and search for them instead of trying to push through to boobytrapped and camped location

It used to be that all the caches were in play at a time, but the Brits won too much

now they lose too often imo
every sane soldier wouldnt go to location which he knows is heavily fortified and boobytrapped, on the other hand i guess ur right too

i bet its pretty difficult to find a good solution, but right now its just frontal assault as both factions know where the enemy will be, it doesnt leave any room for the sneaky tactical style searching i used to do (obviously useless :? )

but i guess letting the insurgents NOT know which intel the brits have might just do the trick (its not even real, how would the insurgents know which location the brits found out ?)

The reason the Brits lose is because they don't work together. The APCs think they're tanks, the Tank thinks it's invincible, helo pilots are hard to find and squads don't act with any cohesion. Like its been said earlier, one good squad can win for the Brits.

ye, in the old version it was far too easy to find a cache just by walking around the map and searching in the obvious areas.

The main reason why the insurgants win most of the time right now is they have short spawn times, and spawns all over the map right next to the enemy and the caches they need to defend, which we have a new INS spawn system for v0.8

I should tell you why the brits loose. Its because 75% of the brits is waiting for the merlin or a tank. And the rest 25% is either one good squad or just alot of lonewolfers.

i have to disagree
my experience is that wherever the brits move theres an ambush or an ied
the insurgents also like to camp vcp, which actually wouldnt be that much of a problem if there werent caches in that area
its impossible to cover an engineer/spec ops while moving into one of the fields as the team would have to provide 360degree cover (which never happens)

It sure seems like all the caches' are active from the beginning. I thought for sure just a few weeks ago that we (the insurgents) had three defend markers that never changed from the beginning of the round, but our caches were steadily being depleted... oh well, thanks for clarifying!

well what I typed is how it is in .8, remember testing it, not 100% sure how it is in .75, might be like that.
