Please...

Please don't spawn sniper in the squad-- a rifleman can shoot just as far, and they're far more handy for close combat. On that note, please, I can throw rocks farther than Spec Ops can shoot accurately, so why are you playing as one if we don't even have a medic.

Please, we don't need 3 assaults, especially if we don't even have a medic. Sure, the grenade launcher is cool, but really... and if you are playing Assault, why aren't you throwing smoke grenades?

Please, would it kill you to wait an extra 10 seconds to spawn on the squad leader? You'll make up the time when you actually get revived, because you stuck with the squad.

Please, stay with the squad and the squad leader, and listen to his orders. Is that so hard? Have you not yet realized that it pays off to stick with your squad?

Please, if you're driving and I'm gunning and you see an enemy squad facing the opposite direction, STOP so I can gun. Trying to drive into them didn't work last time, why would it work this time?

Please, don't punish me when you walk in front of my gun.

[/RANT]

Feel free to add!

I would very much like to see a rock thrown further and more accurately than the SF weapon can fire 8) .

Ehh it was an expression. Oh, by the way, please, BrokenArrow, stay with our squad next time ;) .

You mean when I was shooting from the roadway at the 2-3 enemies inside the unused outpost? With that M1A2 and then later an LAV to my right? The ones with the really, really big guns? :-D Those hurt you know.

Anyway my point is that the SF weapons aren't all that inaccurate. The MEC SF weapon is much easier to handle than the assault rifle.

If my squad already has 2 medics, then i go spec-ops. C4 comes in handy, not to mention the ability to parachute :) But yea, thats only if we have medics.

Please, if you and your squad spent the last ten minutes sneaking around, don't fire on the first enemy you see. This is by far, the most annoying thing that happens when I run a squad.

Please don't be shy to play the anti-tank class, I really appreciate one of my squadmates giving up his ability to score massive amounts of points and the ability to kill infantry to make his squad stronger overall

Please, squadleaders, don't be shy to issue orders. It helps give your squad know what you are planning.

Please medics, don't revive me until you know the area is all clear. I don't want to wait fifteen seconds to a revive only to be killed again right after I get up.

Please listen to requests, I hate having to shoot a medic to get his attention because I'm bleading.

Please commanders, don't spot everything you see. Spamming is so damn annoying and distracitng.

Please, listen to my requests guys.

Actually, I disagree about spec ops. On some levels, the parachute is useful and C4 even more so... and the gun is reasonable because I find it does not get too inaccurate with recoil, so after a sustained burst they usually drop. That's just me though...

Other than that, though, good points. And support/medic always comes before spec ops...

Please medics, realize that 15 seconds is when the icon disappears, but 30 seconds is how long I can be revived.

Please squadleader, don't take point all the time. You dying somtimes = squad dying.

And please don't play engineer. Yes, buckshot and slugs are cool, but it's so impractical on most levels.

Thanksyou. If people would start worrying about the squad instead of some points which mean jack in this game, it would be a lot better. Ther are also too many noobs that fire at something they cant even hit or frag an area that is already clear or stop when I say GOGOGO, or put there guns away to give ammo out in the middle of a firefight, and I could go on.

Please, play smart and use some common sense next time. Engineers and Snipers have no place in teh squad unless it is for a very special purpose.

More people need to sign up for that USM Tactics thing since the tactics some of these guys imploy is horrible. Bursting with the MGs?

Stealth is my biggest pet peave. I came close to kicking a guy out of my squad, and I should have, for going nuts with the saw that was on a boat. Our whole friggin squad and the leader of another died two steps out of the boat after the guy gave us away. He shot for no reason once, I told him not to shoot again and to be quiet, the next thing I know he's unloading on the first guy he saw.

At least it's realistic. One idiot soldier can forsake many with his stupid actions in real life and I'm glad it works that way in prmm.

tell your squad what you want....kick who doesnt comply.....simple enough

oooh here are some of my pet peeves when im in a squad, i know some of these have been mentioned

-SL DO NOT TAKE POINT EVER, SL should ALWAYS remain in the mid-back of the squad.
-if your support DROP FUCKING AMMO! i was playing 2 days ago, i shot my support 6 times and he still didnt give me ammo, i ended up Tking him and taking his kit, and told him to have fun with the AT kit that i swapped with him upon his revival, you know the AT kit with 0 rockets, and 1 pistol clip left.
-if i have 2 support and 2 medics, please go AT or assualt, heck you can even go spec ops if you want, PLEASE do not go sniper! i hate it!
-squad leaders, if your not using TS, please show us your exact plans, IE use lots of yellow smoke grenades "move to this point"

If i'm in a vehicle behind your squad asking you to get in, PLEASE GET IN! too many times have i been playing steel thunder, and am utilizing the buggy as transport and no one gets in with me. It's called pick up and deliver! Ill pick you up, and quickly drive you towards the enemy base, somewhere in back where you wont be seen (im not dumb!) and then ill pick up the rest of your squad and bring them over!

Problem I find with buggies on Steel Thunder is that they attract everyone and are pretty useless since they break up the squad. The time it takes to go back and forth you could of just all went together and cleared the area which actually helps. That is why I am all for taking them out of Steel Thunder or the like.

And kicking someone out your squad isn't that simple. Tell people don't go sniper but they still do, kick them then they return, tell them why they were kicked and they say "Ohhh" why didn't you say that even though I yelled and typed it a million times and the eventually kick them again. Its hilarious how much some people just lack common sense. Sniper was made for stealth and one shot one kill, so why have him for assualting a flag close range? Same with engineer. they don't benifit the squad in any way.

And if you see the flag are clear, please rush in and don't sit there and frag or go prone for the first person you see. Just shoot on the move and overwhelm them with speed and firepower. Longer you stay in one spot, the better chance you have of getting fragged or killed.

And also, hand out ammo packs after a battle or when the are is clear, but not when you are moving and haven't fire hardly any shots. This isn't about points, so keep your gun out and actually use it for what it was made for support. Same with medics who rush into an area with medic bags out for the enemies to aim for.

if you TK'd for those reasons on my server, your IP would be banned.

i honestly wouldnt care. i was more effective killing him and passing out ammo to the rest of my squad and having him take my AT kit, then having him just stare at me while i type "PLEASE GIVE ME AMMO! I NEED AMMO!" hits the com rose and asking him. its me or you in a game, and if you dont give me ammo, after requesting it for it, shooting you, jumping in front of you, if you arent compedent enough to pass out ammo, what makes you think youll hit something in front of you with your gun?

also

I am all for taking out buggies, but since we have them, we should use them. and trust me, i can drive to the back of the base to the dam in QuiCK time, also, if i take the SL, the whole squad can spawn on him. plus with the speed of the buggy, i can take the whole squad to the very rear of the base where they will have no idea what hit them.

and one more thing.

-when there are 10 people on a team (seems to happen alot) its cool too have an assualting squad of 6, and a defending squad of 4, works VERY well!

Please, if you haven't yet grasped the concept of AAS dont bother playing and dont ruin my game by ordering the entire squad to attack the enemy main base, 5 flags from the actual battlefield.

Please, dont be such a stuck-up and refuse to heal/resuply/assist a guy from an other squad, we are on the same team you dope. That's for you 301 guys.

Please, dont go squadleader as a sniper and then barricade yourself on a rooftop covering the only way down with a claymore.

Please, try to defend a flag for just a few spawncycles before you take the whole squad and blast of to the next flag. If you just capped the flag chanses are that they enemy want it back...

Please, read up on how AAS works...

For the love of god, if you're support, GIVE AMMO.

I was in the USMC (so no excuse for not understanding the voice overs in arabic or chinese) and I need to refill my c4 count (I had just booby trapped a flag) and this USMC Support guy came running past me and I kept asking for ammo, I shot him in the leg, and nothing. Then he climbed some stupid ladder and got killed. I tried to grab his kit but I kept getting shot at so I decided to quit trying and move on.

Really, you idiots, if you're Support, drop ammo bags. Period. There's no excuse not to, they don't even show up in the hud as in vanilla so the enemies wont find us. Just try to play for your team, not for your score.

Even if you have to play for your score, dropping ammo is a good idea but most alot of people are just to plain dumb to realise this.

I love Medics that run away from you as you're bleeding - then bring you back in the middle of an apocalypse. :O P

I as a Sqd Ldr do order my sqaud to go to uncappable locations to ambush any enemy forces and cap early at the next flag.

Maybe squadleaders should be able to shoot privates that don't obey in the head and not be punished for it !?! ;) Could be called "officer's bullet" or something funny.

Tough to keep up with all the kicking, since less than half of this people know how to play this game.

I actually think that Spec Ops is best suited for lonewolves who are willing to watch their c4 and wait.

I had an incredible story where because of this, I was able to singlehandedly defend the Dam Outpost in Steel Thunder.

I was USMC, and there were only 12 people on each side, and of course, EVERYONE on the team attacks, including my squad, so I left the squad (since the whole team took the lower ridge, bearing North), and planted all my C4 in a staggered line in the grass coming off the upper ridge-- not in an obvious spot in the base, but in the tall grass coming up to the base.

Traps like this rarely work, because you can't predict where they're coming from all the time. Today, was lucky however. I watched my C4 from behind a tree in the distance, and lo and behold, up comes a full enemy squad. As they walked over the C4, I detonated it and the wall of dust got 3 of their guys. I immediately switched and opened up with the M4, as instead of lying down, the remaining just tried to get the hell out of there. I imagine they thought there was lots more than just me. Anyways, I was able to gun the rest down.

THAT's how Spec Ops should be played.

They aren't a very good addition to a squad, as they work best alone, and in a squad, all they are is a hindered rifleman.
