my idea is to have designated levels for each team where you have no weapons exept at ranges and basically you do marching the some running with an assault course followed buy some range time.
this would be cool with some huge parrades going on.

I also had an idea for a training map at some point, though I forgot about it till now. To complement your map could be a map designed for target practice. Of course, it would be far better to play in single player then forcing one team to play as targets. There could be many spawn points to a "flag" which would force the computer players into a place where they were easily fired upon and were imobile(or had little ability movement). These would be placed in various ranges and maybe some would give more cover to the targets then others. For moving targets, there could be another spawn point that forced the computer players to run through a forced path.
There could also be a massive target painted on a building or something to test the drop of tank shells. A large target with explosive buckets could be placed on the ground to help get the hang of bombing/strafing, and fireing with a copter. Also, things like the dam tunnels could be placed around to help new pilots learn to do careful manuevers and to get a good feel the different types of air vehicles.
A nade launcher range would also be a good thing to put inside.

why?

because weapons with arc/drop need training to use properly more than any other - you can usually use a tank pretty ease, but a precision grenade launcher shot is much harder
maybe make a few windows and stuff to have to shoot the nades through to teach people they can use the weapon's arc to get the nade behind something...

I think the GL is something you have to acquire from using it in the game, skill, and also a bit of luck. I am really good with the GL and can hit targets pretty far away, but I just learned this from using it on the field and aiming at stuff when there was no fighting or playing going on.

I had one amazing round of ownage with the GL, but that was a fluke. I don't know exactly how I managed to nail people at the edge of the "fog of war" but I did it tons that round.

There was a Sniper training map for BFV, I don't know if any of you guys saw it or not. It was set up so that you (the sniper) would spawn on a small island while bots spawned an oval patch of ground that went from 50 to
200m away. They would all run around out there and you could shoot at them. Plus you had the added bonus of them shooting back

21st CW had a training map for their tournament. They had targets that would pop up after you shot them, as well as all the types of kits to be picked up. There was also a range with blown up vehicles so that you could try things like mortars, SMAWs, and RPGs.
I think it would be a fun map, if for nothing more than testing and messing around with any new guns or something like that.

Can the explosive barrals be set to blow up with one shot and then respawn? That would be a cool touch as well.

yes if you make them as a vehicle
