More people to build bunker/firebase

The search didn't find anything.

With the upcoming .8 and the deployable MGs, we need to make the bunkers/firebases
more valueable and harder to build.
Too many times we see as low as 2 people setting up a firebase in the middle of nowhere, and no one spawns there, because it's not close enough for run n' gun tactics. Waste of asset in both situations. With deployable MGs, there'll be tons of guys rushing out, getting close to the enemy, 3 people setting up a bunker in 2 minutes and then hurry to get a machinegun up to camp enemies. When they get slaughtered they'll never mind the bunker, 'cause they can just set up a new one, with only 3 people.

It's hard to write about; people are hardcoded, and so many scenarios to think about.

In the future, maybe reduce the numbers of spawnbases to 1 or max. 2.
Then put a flag on it, and give the enemy the ability to take over it, and spawn there afterwards. I rarely see teammates defending them, only if the opposing team is so close that they have no other options than to spawn way back.

If this was the case, people would actually use the sandbags for defence.
And with the MG's it would be even better. Everybody wouldn't just spawn and head out, there would be some staying and defending it. Yeah people do defend these, but only if it's close to a purple flag.

By seeing posts about giving some squads special assignments, in the future we could have an assigned enginner squad, whos only role was to head out and set up very strong defenses, and hold them so the rest of the team could do their job. How cool would it be to have a full truck of enginners coming your way to set up a base. Then more people would apply for commander as well. And if the enginners would be the only squad that could build bunkers/firebases, the rest could concentrate on their job, and they still have their rallypoints.

In real life engineers doesn't fight as much as regular combat units, and regular units don't use so much time on building assets. And in PR they just rush out afterwards.

What do you guys think?

Drawing more people off the front line and away from combat? I think not.

Perhaps making them capturable, yes. But I don't like the idea of dragging more players away from the fight when our cap is so low. Maybe if we could go up to 128, but not with only 64.

I would love to see bunkers capable. And no demolish order for CO, he has to send people to distroy it

eeeh...no the PR style sandbag bunkers should be easy enough for one person to build in 2 hours, 2 people much less. asuming 1 guy fills the sand bags and the other guy stacks it should be done really fast

firebases would take maybe all of 10 minutes with 2 guys

Producing magical level-ground dirt underneath everything from your fingertips is part of the workload, I believe...
