TrackIR

I believe that making pr a TrackIR compatable game, both as a foot soldier and as a pilot, would increase the reality by an enourmous amount. The ablity to look around while walking in a straight line or looking above or to the side of you while piloting an aircraft would be an extremely important aspect in improving the reality of this game.

Its already been suggested but the new animations would almost give a feeling like it.

What the guy above said. I mean, BF2 already has TrackIR compatibility as far as I know, so I guess that PR should have it, but maybe not.

You can look around in planes and helicopters by holding down Ctrl but as a foot soldier this will not happend, its hardcoded.

A lot of the things people say are hardcoded aren't, but a fair amount are.

Yes im hate it when ppl call everything hardcoded. But devs that know lots about the engine have said that this really is hardcoded. Its been tried by more bf2 mods then just this one and as far as i know it have not been done.

You could always get freetrack and set it to press the keys to look around when you turn your head. Don't know how well this would work though, but atleast it'll free some buttons from your joystick.

Here's one video about the bf2 trackir mod. It was discussed on another topic here, just can't find it. If I remember correctly the result was that it wasn't possible to make it compatible with PB and the newest BF2 patch

TrackIR works with Bf2 but it works just like a mouse so you have to aim with your head when using trackIR. Inside the humvee, like in the video you are free to turn your head with the mouse and still able to turn right, left and accelerating your car but inside a helo or plane would be different because you have to hold control key and then you lose the ability to turn the aircraft. I dont think that makes trackIR compatible with all kinds of vehicles in game is hardcoded. Anyway outside a vehicle i think trackIR would never be compatible with BF2.(I hope im wrong)
