I searched through this forum for a few mins to get a reason. Can't find, perhaps i am too dump.

Everyone read the news about date of release PR v0.8. One of the first fact everyone recognise is: "You get PR 0.8 on Fileplanet one day before somewhere else!"

Result is:
1. Many many "inattentive" peoples thought they gona need a Premium Account for Fileplanet! And they bought one... We can read about in a few posts here.
2. Fileplanet gets alot of attention while peoples tried to get PR 0.8.

Can R-DEV's give a statement about why Fileplanet gets this privilege? I'm quite interested in...

edit: R-DEVs Deleted a link to a Site where you can download PR0.8 by a passworded torrent. Password will come public when Fileplanet release PR too. Sorry for posting link.

edit2: Just to make it clear: I don't agree with those guys made this torrent! I wrote my opinion on theire forum. Hope this torrent will be turned off. I am only interested in reasons on why the exclusive download at Fileplanet

It provides needed exposure for the mod.

You can still download it, for free, today, on file planet, and play it, today.

i read about, PR will have with this FP Action nearly 50000 Downloads(they hope so). When it is on Fileplante its a good Advertising for the Mod.

Not 50,000 downloads but 50,000 potential downloads - 50,000+ people go through Fileplanet on a good day.

Well, I am sure you were so smart to forsee that all europeans will go nuts waiting the whole day since 12 in the night

But I guess that we europeans just have to survive this waiting day

The mods don't need to explain it to anyone, if you don't like it then wait until tomorrow when it's on public release.

meh no point delaying , FP won't release 0.8 til evening or something anyway

its there mod they can distribute it anyways they want, if you dont like fileplant dont use them, and never complain about something which is free, there isnt so much left these days that is free and as good quality as this mod.

I am agreed. Better than give so much attention to a commercial platform like fileplanet is.

Don't get me wrong... i like to play PR 0.8 as soon as possible... but not that way...

Are there some real reasons?
I read about: If PR is on Fileplanet, PR gets a lot more Players...

I dont's think the exclusive thing will give PR more players, it will give Fileplanet a lot of Attention. Am I wrong?

why exclusive if the file haven´t show his ugly face yet?

so all this hype about it being on Fileplanet today is just a hoax?

If the deal with FP really says it is 24 hours then europeans will get it saturday night / evening or even sunday morning probably.

Thinking it over I joined after hitting the PR link on fileplanet some time ago. Now consider how many people -will- tap the PR link with that nice shiney "get it here today only!" tag.
Now maybe 3 in 10 will DL and perhaps even only 2 in 10 will stay but thats still more players, more fun.

My epic noobiness has to come in handy somewhere. I didn't even know I had an FP account till now. Waiting to pounce . .

I've seen some of the threads you've had to put into order today. People posting about could-bes on .8's features.
