Medic tools question:

I'm new to PR, but I like it a lot so far, but need to practice a bit and keep learning the difference between this and regular BF2.
One thing that has baffled me in this game is the medic tools. I love being a medic, and its easy to figure out the medic bag and the dressings (especially if you read the wiki, etc), but I can't figure out exactly when to use "resuscitate", and especially what the epipen does and when to use it properly.
Thanks; I couldn't find this stuff anywhere, or in a way that answered my specific questions.

The epipen is just what the "shock paddles" in regular BF2 were. You revive fallen soldiers with it.
The resuscitate-thingie is to unstick-bodies from the ground.
In earlier versions, you often had the problem that a wounded soldier was stuck in the ground and you could not revive him. You had to throw a field dressing at him to get him out of the ground. Now you can just use the new animation to do so, it isnt needed if you have no time to do it, but it may save an epipen you'd waste on a body stuck in the floor.

Hey there and welcome
You should use the Resuscitate function whenever possible as this un-sticks the body from the ground (you know - sometimes you weren't able to revive unless you threw a field dressing on the body).
Then you simply use the Epipen to revive (just as you would use the defib in the previous versions/vBF2).

Thanks a lot! I kinda thought the pen might do that (I imagined the scene in Pulp Fiction :mrgreen

w/ the reviving, cause I tried to revive w/ the resuscitate function once and all I did was make the dead body bounce around.
Thanks for the help.

How many epipens does it take? One? And where? The chest?

^ Wondering the same. I still find myself wasting 5 epipens on one guy before I manage to revive him for some reason.

I've been succesful with all my efforts on reviving the fallen with the new system. Just have used first the resuscitate first and then one epipen. When I now think of it, I've always used both in the chest so don't know if the body part matters or not. The only problem is if the revivee is dead, which IMO happens more often now.

Yea now that you cant run out of unstuck patches just do that first! They stay dead longer now anyway! So first give him a push, than put that needle in his chest

If you do the right procedure (resuscitation, epipen, medi bag)then one epipen should work. Unless its a bug, but all my attempts have been successful.

I usually do 2 resuscitate movements and then epipen, it always works to me.

If for example, the bloke is in the middle of a street, and I only have smoke for cover, I use the epipen and get the hell out of there.
