.8 impressions (so far)

Ok well we all know what happens when a new version of PR is released, the noob-lets come and its a bit hecktic for the first few weeks. That aside I was kinda wondering what everyones first impressions of .8 was. Ive played a few round so far since Ive downloaded it I got to say allot of things are very impressing. The new USMC skins are just awesome I'd like to say, as is the US Army and PLA skins. The new weapons for the US Army are of course awesome like the M16A4, They seem to work pretty well ingame and the red-dot scope makes for a hell of a diffrence on maps like Rameil. The new M16A4/M4 with the M203 is also very sleek and sexy looking, and with that Acog scope it makes you're job as a riflemen allot more easier then those old iron sights. The new animations are also, as every one knows, badass. They took a little getting used to Ill admit but they are still very cool. The new details on the L85's are also very nice and feel more "natural" this is the case with most of the other weapons. The new SAW is also a work of art, my only gripe with that is that it takes so long to take out, perhaps the animations could be sped up or somthing?
All of the new maps are simply superb, I have to say that they are all very well made, very immersive and just down right fun. My personal favourite now is Rameil, its basically the AL Basrah feel with a larger city and the US Army, My thanks go out to okita and all the others who worked on that map because to me I think its even better then Al Basrah.
The new "restraints" on the insurgency are also a very nice addition, making it more immersive instead of just running around shanking civi's. The new insugent hideouts are a nice addition also, but I feel its not enough, they are allready undergunned, having only up to 4 other spawn points besides the mosques or palace is just not enough or fair to them, thats one of the easiest things about being an insurgent in .7 you could move around easily and spawn near caches because of all the random RP's, Id like to see this back in a patch or somthing of that nature. The SKS for insurgents is a great weapon now, you can see down the sights clearly, the bayonet makes it really cool, the only thing is his IED is damn near useless..the damage on it should be increased or he should get 2 and remove the RDG3 grenade. The "heavy" insurgent should carry 2 of the RDG3 grenades instead of the ambusher carrying one of the IED's and then the RDG3. The only other problem with the insurgents is that the AK47 irons...well...you cant really see down them...I dont know if this is how they really are but the way they are ingame makes me despise the AK47 even more.
Some other things Ive seen and heard people say really botherd me to, like the sprint, its be nerfed to the point that its useless, its really slow and takes forever to recharge, it should be made faster or at least recharge faster cause as of right now from everyone ive heard its just annoying. Ive also heard that your RP's will die if the enemy is within 50 meters...whats that about?? I personally think thats gonna kill some of the fun factor cause everyone remembers in .6 and .7 how epic an RP vs RP battle can get, and that was one of the best things about it. If this thing about the RP's is true please change it, not to sound like a **** but I just feel its completely ridiculous.
I havent found anything really buggy except the CTD on 800x600(?) and the molatov, I used it on al basrah today and the fire didnt appear, but it was still there because friendlies ran into it and died but there was also no tk message so Im not quite sure what happend.
Ok, Im done ranting now.
All in all I think you dev's did a great job on this version but some things from .7 should have stayed the same in .8. I thank all of you dev's for putting such hard work and effort into the mod and hope to more of the same in versions to come.
