I was playing today, on a swedish server. The first map was Steel Thunder, then it was Strike at Karkand 2. And i just have to say that this game is so damn intense and thrilling now!!!!!!!

For the first time in a computer game, the M16 feels dangerous and like a nasty weapon - just like it should be!!!
The battles now are so much more intense and infantry tactics focused and i love it! No more APCs respawning over and over again in a matter of seconds!!
U get one APC and have to stick with it for a while!

When playing today, to me it seemed like a lot of players on the server really tried to excecute manuveurs as a group and not just fooling around - and thats on a public server! Not everyone did this of course, but i felt like at least everyone in the squad I was currently in was giving it all to work as a squad.

Hopefully, this mod mod will bring together more of these kind of players. And for us who like this kind of gaming experience this is of course good news!

Welcome. I think you've just summed up why quite a lot of us love PR.

I mostly play on that Swedish server, because it has 19 in ping to me
Im pretty disapointed about the amount of good servers tho, there is usually one server with 30 players or so with 150 in ping, and then its the swedish one but not always enough players with.

Today I had a hard time finding a good server to play, I had to play a 64 player map with 20 players. Not that much satisfaction in it since you rarely find your enemy

Seems like the BF2 community hasnt found the joy in the PR mod yet, but I hope they will soon. Cant wait til there are more good pinged servers around

that reminds me... the m16 sounds real nice, you can feel the pull of each shot in the sound.

the ak variant on the other hand lacks the punch, you need to add something to the ak sound to make it really stand out to me.

welcome to the forums! yes team work is what makes this game fun! as far as sounds go, i agree the AK just doesnt have the punch i think it should. the M-16 is glorious though.

And yes, the AK needs that hardcore "cracking" sound, the sound now is more of a "thump" or something...
