Insurgency Bugs

First, a question:
Whats up with the Inurgent Hideouts? I can never seem to get them to work. And yes, I have read the manual. 400m away from eachother, 4 of them max etc... Sometimes I seem to be able to get them to work (not very often), but most of the time, the squad leader requests the hideout, I'll (as the commander) will right click on the build order request, and click accept - but nothing happens 90% of the time. Is there some kind of trick to it that nobody is telling us? Do you have to have a bunch of people nearby? Is there really only a max of 2 hideouts, and not 4 like it says in the manual? Also, is there any way at all to destroy them on the Coalition side? I've seen them take tens of grenades, slams, sustained 50 cal fire, and it doesn't make a dent in them.
Ok, anyways, on with the bug report.
The contact report thing doesn't seem to work terribly well. I think its a result of the 'auto-spot' feature from BF2. I'll try to spot a group of infantry by right clicking on the map, but it will put the contact report request 4 grids away sometimes. Nowhere near where I clicked.
There's still the reload bug with the RPG - where it shows an rpg still loaded on the model, but its actually empty... and vice/versa.
Also, I'm not sure anyone else is experiencing things, but I was getting a crash from the options/controls menu. I would change the sensitivity on the helicopter controls, but when I would hop in a ground vehicle, the sensitivity would be set way high. I go back into the controls to change it back to normal, and it crashes. I've reproduced this same bug twice now.
Another bug - Contrary to what the commander splash screen says (when you enter the command post) I can't seem to talk individually to each squad leader when commander without X-ing all of the voip icons except the one of the squad I want to talk to.

One question about the hideout bug, do you have the officer kit(Cell Leader) when playing as commander?

Uh, yes. You can't work the insurgent CP without one.

Small bug. On Assault on Mestia, when I shoot the SKS I see 2 casings fling out. When I look at the ground, there is 20 casings after firing a full mag load. Small I know, but quasi gay. ;D

Another bug at insurgency: If you throw a molotov beeing cell-leader, it will be invisible; the damaging fire is hurting, but not visible. You can only see this bottle on the ground.
At least on Al Basrah
Happened on Ramiel, too.

Jihad horn only works once.
Respawned pickup kit some times invisible.
Insurgent with out ammo bag. (In manual it says Insurgent have ammo bag.)

Jihad horn works on a casette tape system, you gotta rewind (reload) it every time you want to play it. So be kind and rewind before you blow up the infidels.
Not sure how many times it needs to be pressed, just hit the reload button a bunch of times.

1) The hideouts seem to be bugged, allowing only 2 at a time. Has the 'invincibility' of the hideouts been tested? Was it a one time occurance?
2) Contact report does not 'auto-spot', and I have not had that problem yet. If it doesn't go where you click, right click over it again and use the 'remove marker' order, or whatever it is.
3) Right click in and out of sights, should fix it. I'm not sure whether or not we know the cause of this issue.
4) Sorry, can't help you there.
5) The B button works, but it does NOT show the icon light up that you're talking. Just ask if the squad can hear you, and it should work just fine.

Thanks for the reply.
1) I've tested it out on two separate occasions, both time, it seemed invincible.
2) As far as the contact report goes, it works fine if you're the commander, it goes exactly where you right click, but when squad leaders put down a contact report, it sometimes has the tendency to go in one of the "autospot" locations (i.e. where you last actually saw a target and spotted it with the commo rose).
3) Yeah, I'm aware of the fix, just thought I'd let the devs know the bug is still there.
4) x
5) Awesome - thanks!

These both should be looked into.
If you do come across an invincible hideout, try having 3 people walk to it, or try to knife certain areas of it.
For now, just remove the marker and reset it where they spotted it. I haven't had this problem yet, so I don't know what else to say.

Another bug - certain markers don't seem to be deletable. I'm not completely sure, but it may have something to do with the amount of time they remain on the map.

While I was commander of insurgents several times on Ramiel today (inside the main hideout) at the commander screen, each time I was suddenly kicked from server after a period of time much like when you are kicked for being idle only it said i was kicked for excessive team vote each time. Is it possible that while you are commanding in a hideout that the server sees you as being idle? Seemed like some kind of bug to me. Not sure if anyone else has had same problem but I thought i'd post it.

I actually had this exact same problem. Wasn't sure if it was server or client related. Was it on battlearena.com that you had this? I haven't really tested it out on another insurgency server.

Yes it was Battlearena. Not sure if its just with their server or not .I'll have to try it on other servers. Glad to hear it wasnt just me.

It's an idler-kick. I've seen it happen to our commander on Ramiel when playing at battlearena. Others see the 'reason: idler' message, but the person being kicked see the same vote kick message every time. (This message part is mentioned on their forums too. They can't change it.)

I'll try to address some issues:
- Remember when placing ANY deployable assets, you need to be on level terrain. If your trying to place it on a cliff, it wont work so well. Be on flat level terrain and it will work.
- Only 2 hideouts is a bug and is fixed for a patcher that is upcoming
- Contact reports - the trick is to always place an attack command BEFORE using contact report. For whatever crappy reason, it will most of the times "snap" to the attack command marker. so if your marker is in the right area, you should have no problems.
- Insurgent have no ammo bags, error in the manual

Had an odd bug on Op Archer earlier today. The game's scrolling text reported that the first cache was destroyed....While we were briefing.
I'm guessing the cache spawned in a 'bad' spot, unlevel ground or something like that, causing it to kill itself? Just a guess.

I'm getting the "invisible molotov cocktail fire" too. I'm trying to reproduce it. It happens on all the insurgents maps, so it may be attached to a kit not a map.
Everytime it happened, was as cell leader. Once i have more details, i'll open a new thread about it.
