Command and Control (e.g. Fools Road)

Hi there,
I often play Fools Road Command and Control.
As this game mode is not so common to manny people (most of them will scream "WTF where are all the flags? What do i have to do? blablabla.. ), you can win the map quickly with just one experienced squad.
Because always winning without resistance it is getting kind of boring, i will try to give some tactic tips on how to play C&C mode at all, and look a bit deeper into Fools Road tactic.
Command and Control Aim:
There are a few things you HAVE TO WATCH all the time while playing C&C
Command and Control Tactics
Now everything comes down on how the other Team is doing.
You can see that on the points of the enemy team. If there is a player[enemy squadleader] on the other side, who has ca. 500-700 points and no kills early in the game, followed by 5 Players with ca 300 - 500 Points/no Kills , you can be sure the enemy knows what to do and did already build an outpost
Each builded outpost will multiply that points. So you can always estimate how manny outposts the enemy has already built. [note that this is only for the early phase of the game, because of too many factors getting points when engading enemys, destroy outposts ect.]
Ok, Thats on the basic Command and Control.
Lets give some tips for Fools Road.
Look at the attached Picture!
I think everything selfexplaining.

Command and Control Aim:
- Build four forward outposts (firebases or bunkers) [if you don't know how to do this, please read the WiKi first]
- Don't let them be destroyed
- Attack the upcoming attack marker on the enemy mainbase, capture the mainbase and hold it as long as Enemys Tickets are to zero.
There are a few things you HAVE TO WATCH all the time while playing C&C
- Be sure you have minimum 2 kits with shovels in your squad
- One medic is always a must
- always build a bunker right in your mainbase. [it is the savest place and you can reload your truck while your squad is building.]
- DO NOT crash the supply trucks [that will slow you down]
- Observe the points of the other team
- Before releasing the creates from the truck DO WATCH if there is another outpost already in a Radius of 400m - 450m, if so, drive to antother location [nothing worse than driving all the way back to reload without having build something]
- Before releasing the creates from the truck be sure nobody is behind your truck.
- Do NOT build to much "stuff" (HMGs, AAs, Razorwire, Sandbags) arround the outpost [it will slow you down, also the more you build, the more could be spotted]
- [space for more]

- First secenario: The other team DOES NOT know what to do.
If so, your aim would be to build your four outposts as quickly as u can.- Place the first right away in your mainbase.
- Reload the supply truck on the commandpost
- Drive 400m away form your mainbase on the road
- place the next Outpost beside the road
- Reload the supply truck on the commandpost
- Drive 400m away from your mainbase to another direction
- place the next Outpost beside the road
- Reload the supply truck on the commandpost
- Drive 500m in front of the enemy mainbase
- Look for a well hided spot
- Place the last outpost on that hided spot
- Rush into the enemy main
- Win the game
Ok, that only works if the other team is totaly stupid, but believe me, these days it work's quite well most times
Of course, always watch what the other squads are doing. Maybe your "leet" squad does not have to do all the work alone
If you see another squad attemting to build the fourth outpost, you can aproach the enemy base earlier. - Second secnario: The other team DOES know what to do.
I figured a few main tactics then:
- Rush: build your four outposts quicker than the enemy and rush the base
There, everything depends on the speed. It's almost like in the first Scenario, but may fail, if your outpots are too easy to find. Just build them quick. Not to far from the base.- Always have a backup truck reloaded in the base, so IF one Outpost was destroyed, you can build a replacement.
- BaseCamp: Camp the enemys mainbase roads so his supplytrucks can't get out.
Quite easy as well.- Get tanks, APCs, 50cals and all heavy weapons on the roads leading from the enemy mainbase.
- Vehicle squads always take at least one engineer with you.
- AntiTank/LAT always take medic and car for reload with you.
- Mine the roads
This is basecamp. So maybe somebody will say its not allowed. My opinion is, as there are no things like "bases" there is no "basecamping"
If you are getting trouble with an admin, just raise the distance to the base, but block the roads. The enemy have to get 400m between the outposts, so he WILL come to you sooner or later. - Search Destroy and Build: Build your outpost on well hided spots, search for enemy outposts
A good squad breakup on this tactic is: supplytruck + Squadleader, Engineer, Medic (Build Team)
Car + AntiTank/LAT, Rifleman, Medic (search team)- The search team should search arround the map for enemy outposts.
- avoid firefights.
- First Search near the enemy base, but keep your head down.
- The AntiTank/LAT should not be used on tanks or LAVs, but to get the outpost down from a distance if the search team has no chance of getting close and knife it.
- Also the use of the AntiTank is adviced on enemy supplytrucks to slow the enemy down.
Thats how Command and Control was invented for.
If you as a squadleader See your other squads building the Outposts, you also can go for a "Search and destroy only" squad. Build two groups with two cars to have a better coverage.
- Rush: build your four outposts quicker than the enemy and rush the base
Ok, Thats on the basic Command and Control.

Miltia Picture:
- you can see a 400m marker, to estimate the distances.
- Some of the possible locations dont fit each other because of the 400m outpost distance you have to keep, so THINK first, than Build
- The A and B are good TANK locations, so the Tanks can cover the way to your Outposts.
GB picture:
- Way to Outpost 2 is not easy (but manageable) but the Location is very Safe
- The blue Backway from 2 ist the only one! (as i hardly tried) Its also not easy!
I hope you liked it.
