Removing the ability to resupply from enemy sources

Doesn't really belong as 0.8 feedback and I somehow can't start a thread in the Suggestions forum, so I decided to start it here.
Anyway;
--Should the ability to get ammo from enemy sources (crates, ammo boxes, ammo caches) and the ability to build off enemy supply crates be removed?--
Think about it, a team drops two crates off at a CP, builds a bunker, later on everything gets vaporized and the opfor forces come in and establish a new base off the same two crates?
Isn't the idea for a team to bring their own stuff and set up from that?
Moving on, you most certainly should not be able to resupply off enemy supplies.
How can a US squad resupply ammo for their 5.56mm M16s, AT4 tubes and 5.56mm belts for SAWs off an ammo supply that's supposed to store 7.62mm ammo for AK47s and RPG warheads?
Or a tank/APC being able to repair and resupply off an enemy co post?
Yes, because you drive into an enemy base they will happily weld in new armor plates and will actually have the type of ammo that your vehicle uses?
As far as maps like Muttrah go or Jabal, the command posts should be placed below deck where the APCs spawn, so you have to return back to the carrier to rearm and repair.

I think it's the big H word, I believe it was suggested, but any ammo source is available for any force.

I recall that it was possible to make it so that only one team can get ammo from an ammo source.

Also I think it's fine the way it is. Though I guess your suggestion is a realistic one.

You can pick up any kit from the battlefield, including enemy ones. Which means that now you'd have to have the game differentiate not just between teams, but also between kits. On top of that, stuff like medical supplies and grenades could, conceivably, be obtained from an enemy ammo cache. Again, you can't make a kit have a different grenade just because it picked a bunch off an enemy ammo box.

Yes, but you defo cannot resupply 25mm shells for an APC off a co post of a faction who's APC uses 30mm shells.

No, no I did not, because I rather be playing Solitaire and meditate about the few looong rounds of PR I had and try to figure out if there was something wrong.

Great idea outlawz, it would add more realism and make the Riflemen kits more needed and more bases to be setup. After all a Combat unit cant live without ammo, medical supplies and other needed items.

Personally, regardless of being able to resupply from enemy supply drops (ammo boxes, supply crates), I think that, if possible, the construction of a firebase/bunker should 'consume' the supply boxes used to make it.
And, obviously, CO posts should not repair/rearm enemy vehicles/troops.

There for instance are other things that are 'universal' like grenades, C4, and field dressing. Mabye even a pistol if it's compabible.

for the sake of the game though, really.... I like the CO idea, not allowing resupply there, but supply crates and ammo bags like that should be fair game.
I'd probably take whatever i could find, at least if i were anything BUT the US

Ive not tested this, but I flew a little bird over the MEC command post on Muttrah tonight, and it repaired/resupplied me as I went over.

i disagree, ok the game is supposed to be realisic but at want point does it get too realistic and loose it whole point as being a game, FUN
