Pop Smoke, can it be tied to the jump(car horn button?)

Currently the Pop Smoke button is used for the Zoom function in APC's and Tanks. Is it possible to tie either the Zoom function or the Pop Smoke ability to the Jump (Car Horn in jeeps/atv's) button for these vehicles?

I thought I'd ask since the Jump button does work in vehicles (car horn), and I was hoping we could get the smoke ability back to a seperate key instead of needing to be selected on the ammo switcher.

try pressing "jump" when in a tank, and see what happens.

Then you will find out the awnser is no, but 1/3 yes.

Nice idea. Having to switch is annoying, other than unrealistic...

Too bad the horn button in the tank sends a projectile.

Uh I just tried it in Vanilla BF2 and PRMM, and hitting jump did not fire a projectile in a tank (it did nothing whatsoever). What about the Boost key as well, does that even do anything?

that is probaly becaseu u have changed your keyboard settings. The horn is a "primary weapon" for jeeps. For tanks the "ptimary weapon" is a tank shell /the scroll options.

What about tying the smoke to the afterburners key? Assuming there's that key for ground vehicles :X

With the BF2 engine it aint easy to excatly "tie" a key with a command like you can with HL2 and other engines.

Ugh...forget what I said about the horn button, I see where I went wrong now. I guess even that Boost button must do something I'm not aware of.

the "shift" key dose nothing to a tank at the mo. But i aint 100% sure if it can be changed to pop smoke. Im not much of a coder i just know a tiny bit about it.

My suggestion:

Smoke back to its original key
Zoom to secondary fire
APFSDS-T/HEAT-MP-T/Coax as selectable items for primary fire (APDS/HEI/Coax/ATGM for IFVs)

Agree with Wonder.

This is done in Operation Flashpoint, and it works great.

I would agree to but this would also mean that would the gunner get a merchien gun or would he have to switch to get this gun or would he have to rely totaly on runnign ppl over and his 50.cal gunner?
