How do you get the red off battle recorder?

When you start BR there is that red death effect that wont go away. how do you make it go away?
Open console with `, often located next to the 1 key on the row of numbers by your letters.
Type in renderer.drawhud 0. To bring back the HUD, type in renderer.drawhud 1
You're good to go.
