apparently the PR suggestions thread is closed

but why does the SOFLAM beam (I've seen it travel in my HUD) travel no faster than bullets? it should travel as fast as light right?

... This has been explained several times. The SOFLAM/GLTD fires a box, not a beam, this box travels at the absolute maximum speed that it can so it will stick to a target. Any faster and it bounces off.

I think I'd rather have it go the speed of light so that it actually hits anywhere in the vicinity of the target rather than just disappearing or not showing up at all.

Lead your target is all. I'd prefer it to stick than bounce off and the bombs have no effect on that tank I tried to lase.

That was me, I'm waiting for the Suggestion Thread to reopen so I can post it as it's own thread.

EDIT: After hunting through the Suggestion Threads, I found I actually already created a topic for it, but apparently the system is buggy, though Johnny said he might try to work it out.

Yes the laser on the helicopters does seem to follow the cursor like the H-AT but the SOFLAM doesn't.
