if you work with a spotter (get them to use the spec ops kit) and then you will have a grappling hook .

True, but hard to get someone to be a spotter, most of the time ya on ya own.
But I like the thread about adding a Spotter as a kit.

theres no need of adding a spotter kit... just either make a 2 man squad and have the SL as the spotter or get another player to get the SF kit and spot, you should NEVER be on your own... there are no excuses for lone wolfing with a sniper kit...

I disagree, while I don't think the sniper should have a grapple, I find I can move much more stealthily alone as a sniper then with a spotter, Special Forces or otherwise. Only thing the specops is good for really is lazing targets, something a squad leader could do just as well.
If it's possible, a spotter kit (suggested in another thread) would be cool, but it's probably a lot of work for something that doesn't /need/ to be implemented.
Another idea would to give a sniper a GLDM (spec-ops and SL's binocs), though again, not necessary.

Not to be an *** but to me this suggestions is only because you like playing sniper and want to reach some locations the regular infantry cant so you can headshot them.
I dont think we need this. It will ruin balance like I said before. How can we effectivly remove the threat from up a building we cant acces. Part of being a sniper is to operate alone and thus watching your back when sniping. Or have the organisation to get someone to follow you and do it for you.

Been suggested many times, and the general answer is get a partner with a spec ops kit.

You need two people in a squad to get the sniper kit nowadays. So, either way, you're gonna need somebody to work with you. They can be the ones to carry the grappling hook, so at least they get to do something useful.

I also agree hardly to have a spotter (like in real). I often play with a mate as RECON squad and we do mor recon for the team then "just kill" people, coz thats the main job of the sniper IMHO.
My suggestion would be:
give the SpecOps also a camouflage like the sniper, coz the sniper is stealthy but once the enmies got the direction of the shots my mate as specops will get away from me coz he is seen directly.
Second, pls. let the sniper report contacts without cmdr again, as it is now its hard to do recon while typing enemy positions. Or at least let the specops report contacts through the SOFLAM...

Exactly. And it is great fun to cooperate.

Guess the biggest problem is that the game is drilled to be realistic rather than to make fun.
So even when you have no clan and just play the whole time on public servers you should not be a lonely sniper wolf which even would make fun.
So you have to find someone who is not bored to spot around the whole time for you so you have your fun... it's like forcing your little brother to do that because he can't beat you...
Grappling hook for sniper class would create much more possibilities on the battlefield. whatever...
I don't get it at all... when the USA would be smart every class would have at least an (attachable) ACOG with 2x or 4x scope on wide range maps... why suppling medics or engineer with no scope attachments? Should educate them more so they are able to use them in battles and not just to protect themselves...
Elucidate me

nope...
if you open up a "Sniper" or "Recon" squad, most of the time, you will easily get a spotter. If you operate on your own you are (irrelevant how good you shoot) a bad sniper.
So: If you want a grappling hook: Have a spotter. Otherwise you would invite all noobish players to get a sniperkit and operate on their own. Shooting enemy after enemy... and doing nothing for their teams.

^ Yep.
And, as has been said, resuggestion. Locked.
