On Zatar, my entire squad piled into an LAV-25, traveled over to the central island, disembarked within 200 feet of the base, and attacked while a squadmember stayed in the LAV-25, supported us, and took out infantry. It was pretty sweet

I've never really used the shoutbox...
Good for you and your squad for actually using an apc as an apc rather than just a peice of light armor, or in the USMC's case the uber tank killer that swims.

Hello.
I think I was in your squad when you was the squadleader and there was excellent teamwork! Soon we took over the entire map.

I would love to see more fights like that.

See you on the battlefield!

am I right in saying the LAV is different to the new Stryker vehicle. If it is: which one is stronger, i know the Stryker comes in many different varients though?

I think the LAV-25 is stronger
LAV comes in many variants, as well (mortar, AA, IFV, etc)

RPG proof and that is simply the only reason i would choose one.

I'm pretty sure the LAV-25 has tougher armor than the Stryker

Yes, they are different, but of the same lineage. The General Motors Canada LAV used by the Marines is an older design, based off of the Swiss MOWAG Piranha family of vehicles. The Stryker is based on the LAV III, the third generation of GM Canada LAVs.
LAV II / LAV(MC) also has different variants, many of them the same roles as the Stryker, but the Stryker baseline vehicle is a lightly armed "battle taxi" armored personnel carrier that can carry a full 9-man rifle squad. The baseline LAV II vehicle is the LAV-25, which is primarily used for reconnaissance, and can only carry up to 6 (realistically, 4) men of a dismount scout team. The actual LAV-25 does not have firing ports or an ATGM capability (there is a separate TOW carrying LAV variant for that), so those inaccuracies will be corrected in later versions of the mod.
The LAV-25 is more heavily armed than the Stryker and the baseline vehicle is also amphibious. The LAV III / Stryker is not amphibious without a retrofit kit. Both would have a tough time surviving the most modern rounds available for the RPG, hence the "light armored vehicle" designation.

I say get rid of the anti-tank warning.
A tank should have to be extremely careful before entering an area.
