Please give us your definition of the afterlife without offending a large group of people

EDIT: Oh... this is about suppression, not death... No.

no,

The effect is the Mods way to handicap your possibility to act normal when been hit.
joseph91 wrote:because that would never happen in real life
In real Life, YOU,joseph91 will start to cry, start to bleed, and finaly you will die.
I think its impossible (even for the very good Coders of PR) to code THAT with the BF2 engine...

The black screen is there to NOT be able to see -anything- when you're dead. In the past, (sometimes or always?) the camera would follow your killer, which is... the ridiculousness itself in its most digital form. You are not supposed to be able to -see- when you're in a "death state".

I think he´s talking about getting shot and getting the bloodscreen.

Eh yeah, this isn´t a bug or anything. This effect was created by the developers of this mod to simulate the loss of combat effectiveness that happens when a soldier is shot and injured. The only solution to this problem is........Dont get shot.

He is talking about the SUPPRESSION EFFECT. The effect he gets when he's being fired at without being hit.

And, as said before, this is to simulate the fear of your life. You can NOT accuratly shoot back in real life - not because you cant see anything, but because you're afraid you could get hit and keep your head down. This effect forces the PR player to do the same - get down and wait for a good moment to react.

Yeah, pretty much whats been said, it's not about being realistic, its about trying to reinact the fear you get in RL.

And please, in the future, punctuation?? ;)

Ok first of all you people that replied obviously you did get what i asked so let me ask you again i know what happens when you die the screen turns black, and i also know when you get hit in this mod (NOT IN REAL LIFE) you start to black out you see blood and you scream like a ***** i don't know why you are all talking shit for i just wanted to know if there is a way to disable that? Don't talk shit like that if you don't know me or if you never been in war yourself.

Joseph, some of the guys on the forum have indeed been to war, so careful

but you are right that those people who have not seen war, or whatever, should at least have been civil.

(If I understand you right, and btw bullet points/punctuation does help in understanding, especially for our comrades in non-english speaking countries)

the turning black bit is you going in to shock, its not 100% realistic, but you being combat-ineffective is.

And no, there is no way to turn it off - apart from healing at a medic that is.

Please read the posts again.
Nobody is talkin shit.
We are simply trying to explain what the effect is and that it is there for a reason.
If you have read them and understood what the effect is for but you still want to disable it,
then maybe this mod isn´t for you.

look at it this way, If an LMG was firing on your position irl you wouldn't stand up and try and outshoot him, you would get your head down.
IN GAME when you get that effect that you are on about and you DO get your head down, it stops.
Just get your head down and crawl backwards back over that hill, relocate, suss where the fire is coming from and take him out from a different position.
The suppressing effect is one of my favourite effects.
