Well, it may seem abit useless, but if your pilot are flying and you're going into a small area ( Maybe a little square, a place filled with trees etc ) a rope to lower yourself from the Helicopter to the ground could be useful.

May the SquadLeader in the helicopter or the Pilot/CO-Pilot could choose WHEN to take out the ropes. The ropes need to be " resupplied " each time ( Can be used X how many in the helicopter )

Then, when leaving the helicopter you'll automaticlly come on the rope instead of falling and activate your parachute.


I think this idea would match for the transport Helicopter and the BlackHawks.

Unfortunately the BF2 engine doesn't support these ropes, known as fastropes

You can do a bad imitation of them with a grapple hook and a very still hovering merlin.

search for fastropes for anymore information on the subject, there are many threads like this one
