just wondering if we would be able to get a M249 with sometype of scope on it? like and ELCAN, ACOG, Eotech red dot or even an aimpoint red dot. most of the videos and pictures i see of M249's or any auto rifle in iraq and afghanistan have sometype of scope on it.

Been suggested before and may or may not make it into pr.

suggestions go into the suggestion forum, and this one has been suggested a million times already

well..one of the obstacles to scoped AR-riflemen was the fact you'd have to make a new model for each faction...

never seen a PKM with scope

that leaves only 1 LMG...

the dream may happen

especially considering that lots of commmunity factions have already prepared their scoped variants.

I think I see what you're saying, but the PKM doesn't have to have a scope. However, isn't that the point of the militia and insurgents, to be disadvantaged?

yea, I was saying that the PKM doesnt really need one, but the chinese type 88 does.

LMGs with scopes would be great for realism, but not so much for gameplay. LMGs would become super guns, except the poor PKM which would still be itself (which is ok, but it will blow compared to others)

well, given the scope in time etc, the LMGs would become less effective in CQB and have a smaller field of view during combat

lots of accurate fire in a smaller vector.

sorry i thought "ELCAN" was the type of scope, but it is actually a company that makes scopes. the scope i was talking about was this one ELCAN | ELCAN Business Areas | Sighting Systems | Products | Day Sights | SpecterOS34x

Awesoem idea we need an ELCAN on the minimis, Why not put it in for a while just to see how it goes it might be an awesome idea and every one might love it, but some LMG's will have to be remodles but it will make people use them instead of saying F this the draw time sucks

When I spent some time hanging around with the 10th mountain, all of the guys with SAWs had Elcans on them. Come to think of it, I don't think I saw a single guy with ironsights.
