I don't completely understand how the engine works, so bear with me if I am completely wrong.

Basically, this would be a modified special forces kit with no weapon, pistol, knife or grenades. Only vest and c4 detonator. The vest would be a weapon which would spawn 5 c4 packs with no physics or geomitry etc. in or near to the soldier. The c4 packs would constantly have there position set to inside or near the soldier.

Then, the soldier just uses the c4 detonator to blow the c4, killing himself and whatever is near him.

Is this possible?

Maybe, but a little bit pointless.
1: PR, at least at the current state features army vs. army fighting, no soldier would blow himself up just to kill some infedel.
2: To work, it would need civilian population, in which the kamikaze could hide until he gets near his target. Right now this is impossible, or too hard to do properly.

I see this working in PR to a nice effect, just as in real life the Islamic self destruction kits come with a trigger despite the fact they are home made.

I can see it now tanks staying back behind the troops in fear of the mighty walking bomb, this could be the answer to the close quaters tank battles.

They used to have this in DC. You would hear this scream and them BOOM! it was pretty funny stuff. You didnt get points for the kills cuz you killed yourself in the process.

I dont think a guy can carry enough explosives to kill a tank. I have seen a bradley FV that was attacked by a suicide bomber and all it did was smear the Bradley with blood and guts, not even a dent.

A little politicaly incorrect if you ask me. Nice idea though.

Suicide vest won't work in BF2 because everyone is a hostile. There are no civi's to mingle with while you what for some soldiers to drive by. You would stick out like a sore thumb and would be no use to your team or yourself.

An unhealthy but effective addition. Suicide vests are todays version of oversized sunglasses in the 60's; Fationable and works verry well.

The fact that Iraqis blow themselves up is quite funny and ironic that they are doing the American and British forces job for them, so what if its in a crowded area, as long as they are blowing up anythink but American and British people. - Feel free to rant at this but as they say in Denmark "free speech".

This sounds a little stupid, and it could come acroos as v. stereotypical.

If you are talking about real life, those aren't Iraqis blowing themselves up primarly. The insurgents are coming from foreign countries along the border of Iraqi like Iran, Afganistan, or Pakistan.

it wouldnt work in PR anyway, or even vBF2 for that matter - suicide bombers are known for killing civilians inside ice cream shops and city buses, where they can walk in like anybody else and push 'da button - it wouldnt work the same trying to walk through the no-man's land of an open street full of enemy soldiers ready to literally ventilate him with hundreds of bullets, or just as well, let him push 'da button and run away letting him fruitlessly kill himself for no reason (not taking out anybody with him)
