This kit would make use of the GTLD by utilizing a laser lock system. This kit would disable a Tank in one shot not kill it. It also can only fire if it has a lock. If not it either doesnt fire or blows up in your face.

Javalin

Knife
Pistol or PDW
Laser Guided Javalin(NATO) or Laser Guided Equivilant(CATA)
Smoke
Binoculars
Kit Limit 1 per team

This has been suggested countless times, the problem being:
Not a MEC or Chinese counterpart(AFAIK)
Very buggy

Welcome to the forums, and please search and look in the Already Suggested thread.

I think he's suggesting a shoulder-fired missile that locks onto the laser spots, utilizing the laser-spotting system already in game.

Who cares about symmetric balance? Find some other toys for the MEC and Chineese to play with.

Asymmetric balance FTW!

Why would it blow up in your face? I don't think a weapon that blew up in your face routinely would get fielded.

As far as bugs go with the Javelin I don't think it is a game limitation. The AIX mod has some really awesome missiles. They have the JASSM which is pretty amazing. If you fire it with a lock it will guide itself to the target and has the ability to avoid large objects such as mountains and buildings. If the target gets destoryed before it hits it will gain altitude and search for a new target. If fired without a lock it will guide itself towards the nearest target. Their hellfires also have pathfinding capabilities. So after seeing these missiles in action I doubt that a simple top-down arc towards the target would be problematic.

The funny thing about the SRAW is that is also capable of the top-down attack on targets and is also a fire-and-forget weapon just like the Javelin. Both can be fired in direct fire mode (unguided). The Javelin has the capability to engage helicopters as well and the SRAW apparently doesn't.

Naw, with the SRAW, the "top down" attack is just the missile flying over the target instead of directly at it, then exploding.

Locking for the reasons TheScott mentioned. This has been suggested over and over again, was once under consideration, but is probably not going in, atleast certainly not in the short term.
