First of all congrats to the devs for the awesome release, I noticed that the British version of the M247 with a scope is in the guide on the website but isn't ingame, how come?

Ohhh! I hadn't seen the scope in the guide, well spotted.
I guess you mean M249.
IIRK, the americans are using the L110A1 as a placeholder for now too, the guide still has the M249 SAW.
The guide isn't fully realiable and probably wont be untill PR 1.0, maybe.

Welcome to the forums
I guess that behind closed doors they are trying out scoped LMGs but have left them out of the mod thusfar to maintain balance with other kits
or, that the Chinese LMG is still the DICE model afaik and therefore cannot be given a scope until EA give PR the right to do so -> and it was deemed unrealistic to have some conventional army with scoped LMGs and one without

I thought the M249 with scope was on Qinling?
It was in the test builds anyway

There was a slight chance we were going to add it in but,
1. Balance/Gameplay reasons
2. ELCAN SAW reticle wasn't done (which is a crazy reticle btw)

So will the M249 SAW be getting an ACOG or what because Americans definately don't use ELCAN. What about everyone else as well? Still a WIP or as the stuff been sorted out and the Devs are making it?

Hmm, never knew that before, but then again I don't pay much mind to the Army.
What about USMC, I mostly only see no scope for them, but in the rare occassion that there is a scope, it usually is like a reflex sight.

Well I've never really seen a automatic rifleman be the first one around a corner. Also, I've never seen anyone use the PKM is short range. Most INS just grab PKM because they're new to PR or because there is a large group that needs to be taken out.
Also, to Perp, that's the theory in PR, not always the reality.

I know war's not always fair. On the other hand, in real life, Coalition cannot fire on Insurgents unless the Coalition forces are fired on, you want that as well?
PR needs to be a delicate balance of reality and game play.

Isent that the point of this mod ? Realism.... I never got why its reality mod but not really reality, Give the LMGs scopes maybe then it will make up for them being so **** (the animation when bring out the gun

The Chinese QBB95 could be fitted with an rail then a Eotech, but that's extremely rare. It's been done but mostly seen that on PAP/Police forces mostly. Looks really weird and awkward considering how high the Eotech sits on top of the carrying handle. It's usually fitted with the same sight as the QBZ95 scope or a night/day scope.
Don't have a picture of a QBB95 fitted w/ a Eotech, but anything that fits one 95- weapon will fit on the rest of the weapon family.

Still it is a game and not real life. In real life you don't respawn, want that in pr? Thought so.
Apart from that there are scope possibilities for pla(just look at PRC's post) and mec (lots of claw-mount scopes available for pretty much all g3 derivatives). In the end it all would have to be modeled, textured coded and would just mean an assload of work for the dev's. And I'm not sure if the benefits of this would outweigh the work necessary.
