This is a shameless plug for the Skirmish Mode!!

Skirmish Mode is a real blast. 100% infantry, small intense maps, non stop action, no vehicle whores, no wasters hanging in main base, no building assets for the sake of it... just 100% squad base infantry action. And it is a lot of fun.

I know PR/BF2 is all about combined arms.. and i agree, however as a change and for variety i strongly suggest people try a few rounds on a skirmish server. You wont regret it.

Tactics & Teamwork has one up, only running skirmish maps, with 24 slots.. which is open to all with no reserve slots.

Please add your own skirmish server details.. it would be nice to see a few of these servers full on a regular basis.

Skirmish Mode is perfect if you don't have hours to play.. rounds tend to be pretty quick and are very satisfying.. a great tonic after being pinned down by tanks in the Kashan bunkers for an hour with no one to shoot at

Skirmish mode is indeed very good

we run them on the iGi server until we get around 20-30 people on, then we switch to a big map.

Good to know there is a place we can go to hide from the jets and tanks

I run it on my server when we have less thant 15 people per side.

I dont like it, too much shoot-run.

I had a blast as Special Forces on this mode. All squads were full, so I created one, got one other guy with me, went Special Forces, and proceeded to provide flanking, spotting, and harassment support. Using the grappling hook, I was able to get into great shooting positions. I was even able to take out a four man squad all lined up taking cover behind a building. Near the end, I got on top of a building near where the enemy reinforcements were coming out of. From up there, I took out an enemy sniper, harassed an enemy squad and eventually had two squads focused on me without any effective way to reach me. This allowed the rest of my team to move ahead, and we won the round. I ended the round with 11 kills and 0 deaths. Normally, this wouldn't be that impressive, but when the enemy has only 100 tickets, 11 kills is a nice chunk out of their ticket pool.

yea we at .:iGi:. use skirmish to seed the server to about 30 players before playing big maps, it defiantly is fun

Im not keen on the mestia version of this, I prefer the big two flags for focusing the fight much more

Skirmish mode is awesome. More maps need skirmish mode and more servers should play it!
