You should add a blood effect to the shots. That would be pretty sweet! I mean there's really no appeal to the dusty hit but, think about a dusty hit with blood. Like Counter Strike Source. Or ARMA: Combat Operations. Pimp this game up a-little more!

one of the reasons blood was removed (it was in a previous version) is that BF2 has bad hit detection, blood gave the impression that there was a hit, but BF2 did not register it all of the time

also, iirc the military advisors said that the dust is more realistic in most situations, especially given BF2 engine limitations

Reality is if someone is shot you wouldn't see a big explosion of blood like hollywood would have you believe the most you'll probably see is a shaking off of dust as the bullet impacts the persons body, bloodsplats are for the movies

First of all, posting in obnoxious fonts probably isn't the best way to get an idea across.

Second of all, I liked the blood effects, but it's probably better that they aren't there, for the reasons stated above. If there was some way to get around that BF2 engine limitation, I'd be all for it, but I don't know of an alternative ATM.

There was a thread a while back where some dude asked about gore. look it up, you can see the flames that await you. just kidding. There are videos out there of people beling shot for real which i am not permited to post (i wouldnt want to post them anyway because im not a freak) Rounds open wounds then they bleed. and if your dead straight away they wont pump blood. if your shot in the heart a big splatter of blood will want to come out, but your clothing usually holds it in. but usually blood pools out after you hit the deck. Oh... and, welcome to the forums.
