SL and Commander question

Hey guys, I'm somewhat new to PR and especially to the SL and Commander areas. I searched around the site a bit and cant see to find any detailed guide or explanation on a few things.

For example how do i start to build a firebase, .50 call nest, ect? What buttons specifically do I need to use to request and/or place it?

How do I request drops? just voice or type to the commander? or is there a shortcut to request these?

I have found some guides via the boards in these areas but they dont go into much detail like what buttons to use and things like that.

Like I said I have been playing PR off and on for awhile but hadnt really stepped up to a leadership role till recently when I got tired of searching around for a squad that was actually working together. I figured I could do a better job as SL on moving my squad around the map but really lack the knowledge of the ins and outs of SL from the game aspect such as the questions I mentioned above.

If anyone could explain a bit more on these areas or point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

thanks

press and hold T, move the cursor to 'place Firebase', if there is no commander the FB will drop immediately as long as the prerequisites are made (400m distance to other FOBs and max number has not been reached)

If there is a commander, he'll get a request icon like the artilery/UAV icons in vBF2 and can accept these requests in the same fashion as vBF2

Thanks for the quick replies. I had read through that guide before but somehow missed the deployable assets graphic that was within in. After seeing that graphic it made things a bit more clear.

For some reason I thought I had to place things such as firebases on the map screen, didnt know it was similar to a rally points.

Thanks again
