Seems impractical for Project Reality, IMO

Uhm, not really. A limited ammo supply would balance it in. Of course IF the devs are deciding to get rid of the damn omni-resupplying ammobags.

And it's specifally the USMC that is ordering them, which is the force in the game. And with limited amo and range, this would definatly be balanced.

Not to mention it does require some patience to use grenade launchers with PR. With vanilla BF2 gameplay, it would be a mess.

no... thats dumb we dont need them in this mod. or how about we have those and we give the MEC high explosive RPGs?
but better smoke PLEASE! there has to be a way to make smoke that looks good and doesnt lag people.

it sounds like something fit more for Splinter Cell type games - camera rounds?

not good for the mod but.... that thing looks like it kicks some major ***. would the soldier fielded with that get an m16 or what? seems a bit sloppy for CQC

What happens if you need to shoot someone? That's where the extra m16 or m4 comes in handy.

I dont think this will be making it into the Mod as a M203/GP-30 substitute (or at all)...but smoke rounds sound good for me...for the support or assault class.
I think that the smoke nades that the assault infantry has are good. I hope that by saying "better smoke" we
really get
better smoke. I didn't like the new smoke effect for the M203/GP-30 that much (unless that is more realistic ;p), but that is only my opinion.

Probably not, just too much **** to carry nowadays. If anything, it will probably be kept inside a vehicle unless needed.

well, I'm an anime freak, so I'm somewhat obliged to say this
seems a bit sloppy for CQC
not if you go the way
Hellsing's end badguy "Incognito" and use it as something of an oversized shotgun by replacing the explosive shells with flechettes

Uuuu nice toob... totally unpractical imo

GLs are much weaker than in vBF2 and small ammo reserves would make it barely usable.. and i doubt that this is weapon for typical trooper...

I think it's more of a crowd control thing. Stick some tear gas grenades in it to disperse people... assuming they can do that under Geneva. Thinking about it I don't think they can, tear gas is on the "not to be used" list like rubber bullets and water cannons. Good how civilian forces can use them though eh and the military is stuck to the more "humaine" HE-FRAG?
Can't see this being practical on PR.
