It sounds kinda hardcoded but maybe not. I was thinking that perhaps one of the best ways to promote team play is to give points for objectives on certain maps like insurgency, instead of kill points.

Then the SL could have the ability to request a vehicle using the points his team made. I figure this would encourage the teams to do an objective instead of just killing.

We find ourselves stranded in the middle of nowhere at times not able to run to anywhere, just to get gunned down by someone after 10 min of running. I know for a fact it would help out teamwork wise to do something along those lines.

But first off, hardcoded or not? Because with vehicle spawn and request kits it "almost" kinda seems it would be possible.

Maybe not in the middle of nowhere but if vehicles could be requested and possibly accepted by the commander at the main base, this'd be sweet.

The enemy nearly always knows which vehicles and how many of they'll be up against, it'd be awesome if the team had more of a choice in the matter.

-Then stop running, it increases your visibility and diminishes your awareness. If you need a pickup then request transport. If the transport doesn't arrive, deal with it.

tartantyco, lmao, um, why do you think i was running those 10 minutes in the first place? Im dealing with no transport by "running" to my objectives, lol, i lolled so hard when u said that, hahaaha. This happens ALOT with alot of squads.

We find ourselves stranded way too often with no vehicles left anywhere, and the time for a new vehicle being too many minutes away before an enemy breaches foreward positions, so u gotta run, and that takes a while, so this would be nice. Take for example and ovverrun postion, and ur rallys detroyed or firebases done for, and then no vehicles ontop of that, and you see how screwed u are. This happens alot.

And the only way to get the vehicles is by points earned by doing the objectives, not by kills, dont miss that point, which will improve teamwork.

This will also allow our soldiers to get some kind of transport.

I dont think it should be tanks, just hmvs, perhaps an APC or stryker at MOST. Not Helos though or jets.

I'm sure there's a way to work it out... You can spawn objects like FOBs that affect tickets (I think? correct me if I'm wrong), need a request from the commander (except in v0.8 ), and have prerequisites, such as being within a certain distance from supplies/flag/other FOBs.


I think this would add a lot more strategy and create new tactics, as well as make the commander role more important.


I think you should only be able to request them within a certain distance of friendly FOBs or flags, 50 meters let's say. I think you should be able to request lightly armoured vehicles, but no tanks or such (not going to get into a debate about C-130 Hercules dropping off tanks and such :fryingpan )

Otherwise, I think this is a great idea!

Good idea. If the commander thinks an Apache's 50 ticket toll would be more than balanced out, then he/she should be able to make one at the main.

yup, but guys, dont forget the main purpose here, TO PROMOTE TEAMPLAY, something that the devs have been struggling with, so they start making changes left and right to promote more teamplay. With something like this it will satisfy the devs hunger for teamplay, lol, and finally make people actually WANT to go for objectives.
I say you use points only from objectives completed by your team to use for vehicle requests. And yes, you need to be at a firebase or main base, or main flag, or what not.

Whatever the devs come up with is fine. As it is now those 10-15 minutes of walk is not a problem for me. But please, no more suggestions about being able to hotwire enemy vehicles... :)
