Is it possible to make ladders on vehicles that are useable?

Well couldn't you add like steps in the collision mesh so you can climb up the side by jumping? not something you can climb when in motion but if the vehicle is still you can use that to get up?

I think what the OP was thinking of was a workaround for the 8 seat limit, if you could have more ladders on vehicles, you'd have more seats for them.

In Battleships mod, there was going to be ladders, but if you where climbing and the vehicle moved, you wouldnt move with the vehicle and be in midair.

You can have ladders on vehicles so long as they are static. If the vehicle moves then the ladder moves but the player continues to climb in the same spot. This can be demonstrated in the British Agassiz ship in the FH2 mod.

you can do lots in bf2 that you can't of done in 1942 and visa versa, no engine is ever perfect for the job you want unless you make one from scratch for it

well that's the same on having a ladder on a building or any other static object....

It's like saying we have ladders on the carrier and the cargo ship in muttrah but they are "vehicles that dont move"
