Hey
I was thinking if it would be possible to add no player console characters for the insurgent maps etc,,, You can use the civilian spirits and have them walk around or drive etc i dont think it would be very hard for you to have them follow way points around the city... and the extra movment will make it more life like and challanging to spot surgies ... it would sure make things more interesting

no sorry it is not possible to make AI Civiys unless we reconfig a huge amount of the mod and shove the game mode into co-op mode and then you can still only have a max of 64 players on the server, which includes bots (ie, if you had 40 players on the server, you could only have 24 AI players) and even then, we still wouldn't be able to get them working exactly how we would like.

This is a re-suggestion, please search and check the already suggested suggestions before posting, thanks.

And so it got the lock. ;)

Too bad it won't work, though.

Opened again for a while because DeltaFart apparently had something very important and useful to add. ;)

I thought 1/2 the team that you get on public servers where NPC, well they don't do anything useful. :)

Ok, I figure this might clarify why we won't see AI Civilians anytime soon. The biggest issue is that A)You need to make all the maps coop compatible. This entails making a navigation mesh which requires a lot of work on the part of developers that doesn't allow them to work on anything else because it eats most of the computer's resources. Also as far as I'm led to beleive while testing PRSP:The bts don't recognize that they shouldn't shoot the civilians. It has to do with temperature settings with bots (dont make me explain temperature past ts the amount the bots want to attack something) And you can't seperate civilians from the standard soldier. Unless you can make the bots treat civilians as jets say, which infantry don't shoot at at all because the bots are programmed to know they will lose.
Bassically here it is:
Infantry attack chance in %
Other Infantry 80% (the civilian falls under this category)
Light Trucks 50%
APCs 30%
Tanks 10%
Helos 20 %
Jets 0%

This in no way is how this shows up in the editor or the file settings. This is a simplified version of how it basically work. Outlaw and Hans Martin Slayer could post the code on how this works in the game but I doubt anyone would understand it if it didn't come with an explaination the size of one of MWarren's Suggestions

Hope this was helpful

Next mod or whomever with the power can lock this now
