Project Reality Forums

I did some searching on the forums and I did not see any threads like this. Forgive me if there are.


I was curious has anyone ever tried to figure out just how many people play project reality globally? Anybody want to take some blind guesses? I noticed since the website started the Project Reality forums has had about 9k accounts sign up to it. The majority are of course 1 or 2 forum posts and been inactive for a long time.


I am gonna take some guesses and say 3000-4000 people globally. Judging from how many active people are on the forums and the ratio of people in my clan that actually visit these forums (about 1/3)


Anyone have any ideas?

Try using Game-Monitor.com
It will show all the PR servers and people playing it.
At this time there are 450 total players.

ye but what he means is not how many players are currently playing but how many players in total play project reality all over the globe at lease once a week kinda thing.

would be around 5k players I reckon but that is some what of a blind guess.

so what does "6040" mean there? Total as in... everyone who ever played it?

Guessing by the fact that 6040 is such a neat number, I suppose it means 441 players with 6040 slots available.

ye, its basically saying there are 6040 server slots (ie, each server can be between 2 and 64 players, and it totals up all the servers there), that is nothing to do with the population of pr really.

I know on fileplanet as of today, there has been 202,541 downloads of v0.809 mod core and 92,618 downloads of the v0.809 level Packs and that is just one of the PR v0.809 download sites.

According to Game Monitor, 34,277 different accounts have played on the Tactical Gamer server for some period of time. This includes people using differently named accounts, though. And it records everyone, even if they were on the server for less than ten seconds.

25,000 have played longer than half an hour.

19,000 have played longer than one hour.

12,200 have played longer than two and a half hours.

6,500 have played longer than six hours and fourty-five minutes.

2,500 have played longer than twenty and a half hours.

1,000 have played longer than 55 hours.

500 have played longer than 100 hours

250 longer than 160 hours

100 longer than 250 hours

25 longer than 458 hours

1 longer than 1400 hours

Wow, After I hit 2,500 people, I just wanted to keep going.

Thats total downloads for PR ever. From what I heard they just update the file and dont reset the download count since its all "Project Reality"

Although thats still a ridiculously huge number... im really assuming its not accurate in that regard either...

Well, if PR's website has 21000+ members (Look at pic), its definitely above that, since ppl don't register on this site a lot, but still play the game.

Perhaps someone should make a list

That's all time though since when PR site came up? late 2006? It's almost 2009.

I more meant like active players like Rhino said who play at least once a week.


Seems like the concensus is falling around 5000.

I can see myself in Teek's pic. That was right when .8 came out . .all of us camping on the website salivating.
