Modification to 3D map markers

I searched and found nothing, I looked through the *** thread and found nothing (one reference to markers, but it did not explain it. The link given was dead).
My Suggestion: Modify the 3D Map markers to show the precise location (marker hotspot)
Example (On the left, we have the current system. The exact point of the marker is invisible, indicated approximately by the box. My suggested marker system is on the right, where the hotspot is on the very tip of the marker.

For defense markers, the hotspot would be the bottom of the shield. This would be very useful for tankers, snipers, HAT, or CAS aircraft (so they can all fire at a long distance with precision).
I often find myself trying to hit a small target with precision, like strafing a tank with the A-10/Frogfoot, hitting an APC on the hill with HAT, or indicating to the squad precisely where a soldier is at range (behind what wall, in what building, where that sniper is on that mountain, what bush, etc.). The current marker does not give precision at long ranges. At a few hundred meters, the marker is useless for precision if you do not have a sort of magnification. At long range engagements with vehicles (Tanks on Kufrah/Quinling/Kashan) or giving CAS on Quinling or Kashan, when the target is barely in the view distance, the current system only shows the general area (sometimes with a variation of 50-75 meters).
What do you guys think? Good idea, or not important/is harmful (like my HMMWV suggestion)?
