Would it be possible to have a image overlay on the map so to overlay a battle plan. something like having clear acetate over a map. Save having to alt tab. Have a file that it could referenced outside of the client zip. a png that you could use.

Thinking mainly for CLAN/Tournament play with tactical battle plans. ( yeah some of us have plans )

Tried changing the ingamemap and that comes up as a MD5 error

you mean before game or ingame? ingame isn't possible, before game you can use a tool like BF2 ATC or just paint/photoshop then print out a bit of paper of it if you need it while playing?

I guess that for tournaments you could "draw over" the minimap file. Wouldn't work on public servers however.
