[Reference] Pictures of PLA Type 07 Camoflage

this is probably a bit pointless seeing that its already ingame but these pics should be useful for any possible improvements.
was browsing around several airsoft and uniform shops in august when lo and behold i came across the only shop in hong kong selling real urban Type 07 BDUs - which i promptly bought at a discount since national day was the next day

voila! the kit itself is made of a lightweight and quick drying material which is quite comfortable for our wet humid climate, velcro is also available for names and insignia although the single stitching looks a bit dodgy. on a different note, there was only one size available so the kit is quite baggy for a lanky lump like me. (oh and ignore the patch on the left arm as i put it on myself)
closeup of the pattern

even closer view of the pixels, note that each pixel is about a third larger than ACU and MARPAT and each pattern is more spaced out and larger than its american counterparts

side by side comparison with my ripstock DPM trousers. from experience on the field, despite having an 'urban' designation, the 07 can hold its own quite well in foliage as well as around man made structures, making it imo far more useful as a multipurpose uniform.

and the fly isnt a fly at all but three buttons! guess its more reliable but might be a problem if in need of a quick pee.

overall a very nice addition to my airsoft inventory and shall be seeing lots of use, hope a skinner will find these pics useful, shoot me a PM if you need any more.
-EDIT-
soooooo a year on, i check up my local surplus store and lo and behold, i cannot believe my eyes... (apologies for **** quality from video camera)

yes! type 07 ocean camo used by the People's Liberation Army Navy Marine Corps (PLANMC). notoriously hard to find, the store was only able to acquire (smuggle) one out of the mainland and this set is the only one of its kind in hong kong. best of all, its mine!!!!
includes cap! as i later found out, the urban camoflage above is a transitional version. somewhere along the line in 07, production on the real camo was delayed and an identical version made out of really cheap light material with flimsy single stitching used to make up for the shortfall.

this one however, is the real and final deal made out of thicker and more comfortable fabrics and an overall much higher quality even down to the matching buttons with the letters 'PLA' engraved on them.

insignia, note the naval symbolism as unlike the USMC who are a seperate branch of the US armed forces, the PLA Marines are subordinate to the PLA Navy serving as their elite amphibious assault force. as such, the PLANMC is remarkably smaller than its american counterpart composing of only 28,000 troops though this is likely to rise as china begins to take a more active role in international affairs.

back, i hope to get higher quality pics in the future

closeup, pretty much identical to its army counterpart with the colours changed around.

comparison to other patterns (left to right) German Flecktarn, British DPM, Type 07 Urban, Typw 07 Ocean.

so there you go! not sure where i should be wearing this but it sure will be a unique sight in any UK skirmish fields i plan to check out while im at uni. now i gotta get back to packing as my flight is tomorrow! i'll be glad to answer any questions to the best of my knowledge.
