if you have a 1024 map (no matter which scale) you have to export (simply save it) as 1025 x 1025 HeightmapPrimary.raw file and replace this with the default one in your map.

no, that wont work.
i dont know if i remember correctly but i think for saving only the heightmap you have to rightklick on it and klick "save active map " ...then save as Height... (as above)

I did it and it worked loading up, then I tried to look at it and all i got were some lines on a side of the map and the rest is flat still. Ill update with a picture later.(Thought I had one but guess not. Ill just go take one.) Anyone know how to fix this?

did you resize it correctly when you saved it ? so for 1024 maps (no matter which scale ) you have to save as 1025x1025 , for 512 maps 513x513 .. and so on.

So your saying for a 4km map I would save it as 1025x1025. If so then that would be my problem. Let me try it again.

really cant be that hard :)
all you have to do is save the heightmap , resize it to 1025x1025(there is an option when you save it in which size you want to save it) , name it HeightmapPrimary.raw and replace it withe the default one in your started map. whats the problem?

are you naming the file correctly? also make sure it is 16 bit, not 8
