They're modelled, no ugly 2D bitmaps any more.

vbf2 has a 2d image appear when u pull ur sight up, PR has the actual model of the gun in 3d

the best way to show it is to load up vBF2, get the M16 out and use the sights, now open up PR and do the same.

current PR: 3d... the iron sight in PR is the actual weapon , in vbf2 the weapon is replaced by a 2d image when drawing the weapon up, though the pistols are 3d..

Not really, vbf2 did this too i think[maybe? I remember it did, but that was years ago]... Basically if its an actual model and not just a texture overlay its 3d. Pr uses the actual first person model of the gun when you bring up the sights.

I think bf2 did a mix where they used the models front sights but then did a 2d overlay for the rear sight. But don't quote me, its been, like I said, ages since I played bf2 ;)


But yeah, 3d is where when you sight in, the model just moves up to your face and no new texture pops up ;)

As you can see, 3d sights doesn't even cause connection problems :-D
