Aircraft Sound Effects

I just watch a couple of the old BF2 video's. Now, whether or not this was just some effect that DICE put in the first build, or it was purely something dubbed in, but as the jets made a fly by, they had a distinct engine screech, that actually sounded damn cool.
That got my thinking. The jets dont sound very... jet like. Infact, they sound as though they are powered by a hairdryer.
What im asking is, are there any plans to redo the aircraft sounds in general? Or are they going to stay as they are.
The video in question.

It sounds like EA edited them into the movie, and was not ingame sounds.

yeah i never thought of that, but in real life you can hear an jet flying overhead even though its miles and miles away, it would be cool if you could hear in coming jets and such in the game.

Thats the bf2 jet problem: Realistic sounds only happen at realistic speeds. You don't get a sonic boom if they aren't faster than mach 1. i don't think they can even get close in bf2, but im not sure. All sounds need to be redone so that the guns, explosions, and vehicles are a hell of a lot louder, including aircraft. But really, ground attack aircraft are the only ones that belong in most maps, as they are the only things that can actually realistically be implemented. Put mach 2 jet battles in mach 2 jet battle only maps, like DC No fly zone or coral Sea or smething.
