HUD while using free look?

I came to notice that when you hold afterburner + free look in jets that your HUD stays on the screen while you have a free look.
Now is this possible to recreate in choppers?
I mean like having the controls modified so when you hold free look (CTRL) that it automatically means you hold afterburners too. Of course choppers don't have afterburners
so it could have like the amount 0.1 with no effect attached to them.
Would this work?
