I don't know what the devs have cooking for 0.85 and 0.9, but currently there's a need for more maps with tanks on them, especially maps with tank on tank combat.

There are currently six maps with tanks:

* Kashan Desert
* Battle for Qinling
* Al Kufrah
* Al Basrah
* Qwai River
* Fools Road

And only half of them have tank on tank combat.

There were used to be more maps with tanks on them, but as PR have changed, so have the use of tanks on these maps, which I understand and I currently don't wish tanks back on any of the old maps. But I would like to see more focus on big maps with lots of armor in the future instead, and I'm problary not the only one.

I have some ideas for armor maps in PR, and how they could work. Will post it later.

Need more maps with 4km size in mind!

I think you will see less and less 2km maps with tank combat, so its up to the mappers to step up and get some nice fresh 4km maps out to good tank combat!

yep, I think we would all like to see this, main thing that is needed for tank on tank combat is a 4km map min really, 2km^2 maps just can't cut the kind of combat we want for tanks and the problem with 4km maps is they take a long time to make if you want to get a lot of detail into them since they are 4x the size (2x the area) of a normal 2km x 2km map.

The other problem is only really 1 mapper can work on 1 map at a time, so we really need more mappers to make these much needed maps

Why the tanks stayed on Al Kufrah in 0.8 is beyond me.
More maps of all sorts is much appriciated.

Cos thats an armour map? Its an interesting and engaging battle between the 2 opposing armoured forces, just witness the recent PRT battle between Nato 2 and Cata 1 on Al Kufrah.
