Hi, just been playing PR for about 6 hours - during this time I noticed that if I laser targeted a position or vehicle, the ENEMY planes could also see this target and would also start targeting it (Some might say this is a good thing) and it was highly amusing to watch it happen - but I just thought I'd point it out in case the PR team weren't aware of it.

We are aware... you can see all laser targets for both teams. Nothing we can do about it, it's like the flares from choppers. If a laser is in a friendly vehicle though, you will not be able to lock on it. But if it's in the ground, any vehicle (friend or foe) will see it and be able to lock on it.
Here's an example of friendly fire incident that happened to me. The chopper fired a laser missile next to my position and killed 2 squad members and complained in TS we were lasing friendlies, but you can notice in the slow motion part a laser marker being sent towards us.

Well why shouldn't you be able to see it? It is a laser. Not some magic laser only your team can see.
A laser is a laser and a laser is just light nothing more nothing less.
IMO its already good as it is.

Why don't you make a LaserTarget_Team1 and LaserTarget_Team2 and set each vehicle to only target one or the other using ObjectTemplate.target.targetType? That will take care of the locking problem. It'll still be visible though unless you can somehow edit the HUDs to differentiate between laser target types.
A laser is a laser and a laser is just light nothing more nothing less.
These weapons don't just lock on to any laser. It's not like I can go paint a vehicle with a my key ring laser pointer then have a missile lock on and blow it up.

In reality lasers are encrypted and have certain frequencies. If you don't use the correct frequency then the weapon won't track. It can be entertaining lasing enemy vehicles and watching the tks roll.

There really is a high end technology going on. Apparently the apache for example the laser it designates with will pulse a certain frequency and the hellfire will only follow that laser, so multiple firing can take place without confusing.
Its always good on kashan, when my gunner says: "Hey look, there is a box coming from over there, but there is no one on the map? *spotter dead*.
