If you keep TV guided missles...

I'm sure the devs plan on taking these out or changing them in the helis, since they dont have them IRL or they have different missles, im not exactly sure. but i the fact htat the missle feed shows up in B&W makes it a little difficult to spot targets, i think when in the TV camera, it should pick up heat sources instead, i (think?) thats more realistic, im sure they would pick up something other then a B&W image. it would be cool if everything showed up a dark grey. i photoshopped this

something like that would be interesting

compared to this, the normal looking one.

Easier said than done. While its possible to make targets appear as heat sources in that view (think heat objects on jets with AA), I don't think it would be very easy, if even possible, to shade the targets like such. All you can do I think is target them with a nice box around it, but thats generic and for all targets so you can't really make it shade the object.

I think it should be lock on and you have to keep the heli laser on it. I know it has changed in Apaches to an onboard radar in the missile and this eliminates this problem of having to watch the target but for game play reasons: the gunner should have a black and white gun camara that can zoom a fair bit and to destroy the taget he has to keep the laser dead on the target.
The gunner alos need commands like: hold steady, left, right, lower, heigher, stop, see that thing - followe it and i have sighted a ___ and you need to keep the heli on it please.

I like the idea :) but are you saying that the missiles should be heat seaking?

no would be a heat senctive camara, so that you can see tanks and ppl running arround easier.

I would prefer to see the laser guided missles on helo like on the F-15 and SU-34.

would be too easy....

Would be easy for air-to-ground but you wouldn't have to worry about some helo pilot and gunner sitting just out of AA range firing TV Guided Missles at planes/helos as they try to take off. Plus it would be a bit more realistic.

ah i just think it woudl be a neat idea. oh well.

i dont really think it matters anyways since the cobra should have heat sensitive air-to-surface missles anyways. but i think they also have some kind of wire-guided missle? i may be wrong though. but yes, little boxes around targets would be easier, and it would be really cool if what someone said about keeping the laser on target was implemented.

I think the gunner view on all attack helos should be FLIR, and it would be nice if you could zoom in and out just like IRL.

Would be nice to have the bomber co-pilots laser guided missles on a helo.

That would be so sweet, Szarko, like the FLIR you see in the videos where a laser-guided munition hits a hangar or something. But the one seaters should do that, too right? Just fly straight and level and guide your bomb while you're doing that. Air to surface missiles, like the Maverick, would be sweet, too
