I guess that's someone's idea of balance. I suppose you should have held the reticule a bit higher, but I don't have a definite answer for this. As you already know, I fight when I can see the whites of their eyes.

I was playing with you in that game, BTW...

i swear i just think it was the enfield. had you been using the dragonuv you would have killed that guy on the first shot. ive never been able to hit anything with the enfield, but i pwn pretty well with the dragonuv. of course it could just be me, i dont snipe very often anyway, but everytime ive used the enfield it feels about as accurate as a musket.

Whats wrong with this is that I SWEAR TO GOD, the sniper rifles deviation is wayyy to much, I have more accuracy with a G3 while moving!

I was on fools earlier today, my mate put a solid hit on to a bit at point blank range with an enfield, the brit then killed him and almost got me....303 at that range would have mullered him.

It's because right now the Enfield uses the 7.62x39 round instead of a proper .303. The devs said they will be fixing it for .85, though.

The scoped Enfield, of course, uses a different sniper round.

No, it uses a 5.56mm round, and will move up to a 7.62, right?

Nope. Right now, 7.62x39.

Well as long as u understand the deviation and how it works right now u should be able to hit. However, true for any gun, especially a sniper rifle, if ur aiming UP at a target, the bullet drop is bigger than u think, u need to aim the reticule higher.
plus, u cant move ur body at all for 8 seconds. u must be in scope for those 8 seconds. after those 8 seconds the deviation sets to zero, or darn near it, press 3, hear the breathing stop, thats ur cue to shoot. should be a hit.

notice i say should because even when doing that, there are times it will miss. I say that from experience. ALSO, it takes two bullets to my understanding to kill, unless its a headshot. Dont ask why, its dumb, but wtvr. I like to shoot them once and wahtch them bleed. I stalk them and wait till they drop down to apply patch and shoot again. :)

On muttrah docks, they reallly realllly did not like me having the sniper rifle, i was nasty.

-I "liberated" the Brit sniper rifle on Basrah today and I had no issues with accuracy. I fired around 20 rounds total and hit with 13, and most of the misses were shots I knew I'd miss but just took anyway to scare the hell out of those prone Brits in the distance.

Anyway, I don't have a clue as to why you didn't hit the guy. Did you move rour scope quickly before your shot? That's my only guess. Or maybe you didn't believe hard enough. Yeah, that's it. The key to hitting things with sniper rifles is believing hard enough.

really!?!??!...i thought it made it moe accurate..can u expalin how to use it more

You're better off using the LMG as a sniper rifle.

I don't know about other sniper rifles, but scoped enfield sucks. I'll never hit anything with it. And actually, L85 is much more accurate than it. :I

I didn't use the sniper rifle very often. But it appears, that it is more accurate at longer ranges or the bullet trajectory is really odd. I never hit, when I aim directly on the head at 100 m but last time I played training on that one desert map I shot two spotters in the mountains, who lasered our base and both were one shot kills. I could barely see them and they were completely covered behind my reticle, so I guess it was more than 600 m. Next time I'll try to aim lower, if they are at closer ranges, see if that works.

Sniping is really difficult. It would help, if the devs would bring out at least the data for the sniper rifles trajectorys.

I cannot hit jack with the .303 sniper tbh. I've done the whole prone thing with the waiting 20 seconds (or even longer) before, breathed, lined up a headshot on someone that was perfectly still (and their head is actually quite large in the scope) fired and it's done sweet f/a.

Is there any known bugs with this weapon? All sniper rifles are zero'd at 600 metres right? So in theory I should aim a little lower at closer ranges? Well, I had the same result as above but shooting the same guy in the chest too (when I did that he just ran away)

Someone mentioned something about running at different resolutions. I run at 1680X1050 - could that be it? A widescreen problem or something?
